13/10/2023 09:18 | nerja: I can confirm my original purchase of this stock did NOT charge Stamp Duty. I can offer no further insight other than they pay a divi 4 times a year. The most recent was in my account on 8th August 2023. I believe the next one will about 3rd Nov. | mcunliffe1
13/10/2023 07:39 | Looking at this, got Smif, bips plenty of prets but. For some reason always passed this by. Cam anybody give me an insight into its pros/ cons please. Is it stamp duty free, I can’t see any gearing but that might be me, I see the currency risk, TIA | nerja
14/9/2023 21:45 | 99.4 pence on the closing auction. That was a strong finish, from the August commentary I was thinking wouldn't mind some of those myself: August was a reasonably quiet month for the portfolio managers. The Fund added some rare prime UK RMBS mezzanine bonds at a yield of around 11%. With the Fund fully invested in line with asset allocation, the PMs are confident it is well positioned to be involved in the forthcoming primary market, with slightly elevated levels of liquidity, reduced gearing and upcoming bond maturities. The strong technical remains in the market, which the PMs believe should help underpin spreads in the near term. Secondary flows were quieter over the month and liquidity was robust. The Fund returned 1.48% for the month with three-year volatility at 6.59%. | my retirement fund

10/7/2023 15:03 | Nope that's not correct. Most of the investments are floating rate. The fall in share price is due to perceptions on credit risk. | cc2014
10/7/2023 15:01 | Thanks - I appreciated your responses explain the YTD performance, it was the sudden 6-8% drop and the drop to a discount vs NAV that I didn't follow | spangle93
10/7/2023 14:59 | This is akin to a fixed interest stock - so if interest rates available elsewhere rise then the price of this stock must reduce to achieve the same yield. | future financier
10/7/2023 14:07 | #205. I suggest you take a look at the underlying investments | cc2014
10/7/2023 13:11 | What's caused the recent drop in these shares? It's rare to find TFIF trading any discount, let alone 6% vs the last NAV update | spangle93

24/5/2023 19:34 | That's a couple of times I've seen reference to this Fixed Income Board. Could someone point me in the right direction please? I'm struggling to find it. | campervan1
23/5/2023 15:08 | I too had never heard of TFIF until I read about it on the Fixed Income Board. I see it trades at a premium to the double digit discount at FAIR and VTA with what appears to be a roughly similar dividend to VTA and lower than FAIR so must be a different animal. Need to do some work. | cerrito
23/5/2023 12:41 | Bought: £1.0113 I'm hopeful that with higher interest rates persisting this investment will prove good. As My Retirement Fund pointed out on the Fixed Income Discussion our economy will soon be like Spain's/Greece's under the peseta/drachma - every cloud eh! :-) | mcunliffe1
23/5/2023 10:50 | Hello all, Found this board via the Fixed Income Discussion. Thankyou, as TFIF look like the kind of investment I'm after. I'll keep an eye on the share price via my ii SIPP throughout the day but I see that this is not a particularly volatile stock. One aspect worrying me though is the lack of overall share price growth when compared to the current inflation rate even with the 9+% yield. However, it's a better bet than leaving the cash in my SIPP even though ii pay interest on such. I'm so thankful that you lot point me towards these hitherto unknown possible investments. 18/5/2023 12:26 | Let me get this clear, I can tender all my shares in the recent corporate action for less than the current market price? | my retirement fund

18/4/2023 11:00 | Bought a few of these yesterday for the ISA - nice returns later this week. | cowie19
13/4/2023 16:35 | Short and sweet :-) The Board is pleased to announce a final 2022/2023 dividend of 4.46p, bringing the total for the financial year to 9.46p. This achievement marks the highest year-end dividend since inception and is the result of rising interest rates and good investment opportunities during this period." | return_of_the_apeman
12/4/2023 19:03 | The final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2023 should be declared tomorrow pm. The dividend is due to go ex-dividend on 20 April and they generally announce the dividend 7 days in advance. I'm expecting a minimum of 3p (making 8p in total for 2023) | thetrotsky
08/3/2023 13:33 | A couple of news items I hadn't spotted. NAV is catching up, last seen at 100.39p. The dividend is now set at 2p per quarter (plus an unknown extra at the final in April). TFIF has sold all the Treasury shares and is now issuing them out of its block listing of up to 50m shares. | stun12
