Extract from Article in Money Observer July 2008.

'Indian Opportunity
There are half a dozen AIM listed property funds investing exclusively in India. The one probably attracting the most attention in the market is Trikona Trinity Capital, which received its listing in April 2006. Results due this month should show profits up from £34million to £65.8million, while net asset value per share is projected to rise to 154p - a 58% rise in just over two years.

India's economic boom is obviously creating opportunities in the property market, but UK investors remain cautious because of the unhappy state of their native sector. The shares languish around the 100p mark and a long way below the net asset value.

However German property fund SachsenFonds has bought into the concept with a £95million investment. Patient private investors might well be rewarded if they follow suit. Broker Numis Securities expect net asset value per share to rise to 165p in the current year.'

Are these getting affected by the property crash over here?

Does anyone know what is happening to the property market in India by comparison?

I think they have to report and get board approval if it is a related party transaction...

I doubt they could get away with it otherwise... but some of the other Indian listed property companies do seem to have an issue with this.. i.e. Hirco and the family controlling it and Unitech corporate parks.. and the Unitech group

but as I recall TRC is really unrelated to any group and so should not have this conflict of interest

Just wondering if the too groups are totally arms length. I'm a natural cynic.

Just want to make sure we are getting the best deal, not the german group or our management company.

RBCRBC - not sure what the issue is?? They have sold some assets to a german group proving up their NAV value... and then they have invested jointly with the German group in New assest... appears positive so I'm not sure where a negative spin could be put on it????

To be honest, I'm not really too sure what is happening with this new deal, and is it really good for us.

Can anyone put it in plain english ?

I'm usually good at sussing out what is going on, and get very worried when I cant.

we overshot and moved up quickly so we move down afterwards... simple...

nothing moves up in a straight line... higher highs and higher lows hopefully...

looks like a decent outfit but will have to wait for results..

Obviously one concern form recent trading update is this... but momentum in Indian Market will continue in the long-term:

The two-year run of developer-centric pricing for residential projects has come
to an end with the recent price easing favouring the consumer.

Have the last days constituted a tree shake? Am staying in TRC. There is no bad news and no obvious reason for the drop in share price

is a typical reaction to such a rapid ascent... could go to 100p again... but long-term projectory should be upwards.... results in June I think...
