30/1/2021 19:41 | If this is linked to TRD, then it will be excellent news and one we need to start a re rate of TRD's depressed price Reprobus @Reprobus2 · 10h Stratis have been working with #TRD - Triad Group - for over a year now, developing an array of blockchain applications. 30/1/2021 15:15 | ST: I tend to think it will be linked to an RNS on Monday. Stratis would have told us on Friday night if they could - the main reason for a delay will be the other LISTED company. I doubt its Triad related but who knows - impossible to say - be really annoying if its Kainos (or similar)! LOL | netcurtains

30/1/2021 13:31 | Stratis seem bullish with their teaser tweet. Presumably TRD, having worked with them for a year, will be in the background of any tie up with whomever Stratis are talking about? Is it a coincidence that Stratis are flagging an announcement at the same time as TRD suddenly announced recent new business about which they are “delightedR | bones

30/1/2021 13:05 | Thanks Brucie, I probably have too much time on my hands :) I will take a look at EDEN as, like you say, the histories of SCE and RUA finally coming good as ESG and green energy factors start to take root, are compelling stories. Not sure the TRD thread is the place to discuss all this stuff but, since you ask, I have also just gone into GTC. Read the RNS’s of 26th and 28th January and the thread where I have contributed a little. If this is not a reverse takeover by a hydrogen and green energy based venture, I will be surprised. I’m in for a 100k of them as it might be a ground floor entry. Speculative naturally! I also recently lumped in on CML. Horribly illiquid but they are about to complete the sale of one of their two divisions (semiconductors space) and that will leave them with a stack of cash and the remaining business of communications semiconductors for 5G, IoT etc for a very small enterprise value. Also added a fair number of ZYT. I regard it as a strong recovery stock once Covid recedes and entertainment venues reopen. M Cap is 75% cash and they are talking of starting a share buyback programme at the AGM in February. My six stocks all have one important thing in common after recent fund raises in some of them. They all have a huge cash pile or are about to receive one! Security of assets matter in these markets! Apologies to TRD for off topic (mostly). Brucie, we can take this to PM’s should you wish. | bones
30/1/2021 10:53 | Bones, thanks. I've been much indebted to you for your coverage on RUA, and noticed when you came into SCE, another core holding of mine. And now TRD. I can't match your depth of analysis either, I think I'm more narrative based, while also seeking to parasitise as much as possible off the analysis of clever folk like you! I'd be interested to know what your other ideas might be at this stage. May I suggest at the speculative end that you take a look at EDEN, before its current agreement with Corteva to evaluate the latter's Sustaine technology for use in seeds, issues in a result? There are elements of both RUA and SCE, not to mention ITM, in the proposition, which has taken years to build. News is now overdue, and I believe may be transformational. | brucie5
30/1/2021 10:21 | I was thinking (as an aside), since their HQ is going to be empty for a long time and I suspect they will keep it going (as I think chairman is possibly the landlord) they might consider running IT training courses there (post lockdown).... The government is quite likely to give serious grant money to help educate UK to be good at IT. Training could be a real money spinner. They have the HQ and its going to be empty for the foreseeable future (work from home for IT is the new norm even after pandemic). | netcurtains
30/1/2021 10:13 | Joe Say, I hope you are correct about the top line increasing significantly from the £10k+ of the H2 period last year. They referred to “results” My reference to “much higher margins” is taken from the interim results statement of 27/11/20 found in these paragraphs from it: “The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have created some strong headwinds in a limited area of the business but profitability has improved during the period. Gross profit has grown at much higher margins than in previous periods, as the business continues to not only build more revenue from key accounts, but also continues to increase the ratio of permanent headcount to contractors on consultant-led engagements. Further, due to changes in working patterns, there is a limited reduction in operating costs and no members of staff were furloughed. Cash reserves have increased by 38% to GBP4.08m (2019: GBP2.96m) and reflects both the improved profitability and strong cash collection processes. During the period, the Group did not require to utilise the existing lending facility, other external debt or take advantage of the financial assistance schemes offered by the Government due to the pandemic.” Clearly a lot of positives there, but my reading overall is that gross margins due to the reduction in consultant costs is likely to have been the main driver. I agree though that there is scope for revenues to help out too! | bones |
