Bones - thank you for your analysis but I think you may be incorrect in some of your logic. You refer to "much higher" margins but the statement reads

Triad Group Plc is delighted to report that, as a result of recent successes in winning new business, the Board expects that results for the second half will be significantly ahead of the same period last year.

That to me implies the top line, first and foremost - i.e. increased sales

Admittedly that is most likely to improve the margin - but the driver for me is sales

Good to see in, Bones. I picked up a few earlier in the week and have been musing about the right level for a top up. The spread is unfortunately enormous, so was rather put off to see my buy price of 99p turn into an indication of 84p by end of Wednesday. May I ask what price you managed to get in? I think i was offered 86p this morning, and declined.

Having a pop at deciding what Triad means by SIGNIFICANTLY when it talks about "Results" being improved for y/e 31/3/21. My estimate is the yellow column and the boxed column is last years H2 which is what Triad are using to compare results with in their trading statement.

My thinking is that revenues might be slightly ahead, but cost of sales significantly controlled due to the permanent v contractor allocations improving so heavily. This is where the improvement could mostly lie. They specifically stated "much higher" margins, in the update.

I am leaving admin costs the same as H1 as they talked of reducing these at the interims stage. I'll assume they are static.

If these numbers came to pass, the bottom line would approach £1M profit. Possibly ambitious but this is on an improved 22% gross margin which doesn't seem out of the question given the mood music.
