02/9/2013 16:33 | Theres something strange going on why would the shareholders led consortium buy the debt of the company. There will be a takeover announced or sale of assets and a shell company will be created to invest in another venture lets wait and see what happens. Todays fall in share price to me does not make sense. Any announcement should be made this month. | yashdi

02/9/2013 12:26 | Travelzest targets management buyout as sale talks end 30 October 2012 at 07.56 GMT comment icon 4 Comments Travelzest has terminated efforts to sell the companys Canadian business in favour of a management buy-out. The company, which has sold or closed the majority of its UK operations, sought buyers for its profitable Canadian arm in May which includes online travel agency iTravel2000 and Cruise Professionals. But Travelzest today announced that the formal sale process had been dropped in order to focus on negotiations with the management team. The current proposals being discussed value the Canadian business at a substantial premium to the current market capitalisation of the company, a statement said this morning. These negotiations are still at an early stage and there can be no certainty that they will result in a sale that is acceptable to the board and shareholders. In a trading update, Travelzest said conditions in the companys core Canadian markets have been very encouraging for most of the financial year. However, the company has experienced some delay in bookings in the last six weeks as our suppliers try to hold their price increases and our customers wait to see if prices fall. Travelzest added: Despite this, the company expects to achieve an improved trading result at the EBITDA level both before and after exceptional items for the full year in comparison to the previous year. We remain confident that our leading position in the Canadian travel sector will continue to provide exceptional opportunities for growth. The UK businesses, all of which have either been sold, closed or are due to close, are now a small part of the group. Last week Travelzest suspended new business at it's numerous tour operations including France self-catering specialist VFB Hoolidays, Captivating Cuba, Malaysia Experience and Best of Morocco. | topinfo
02/9/2013 12:26 | And look at the previous bid at 115p a share TVZ. Worth a punt down here IMO. Specialist online travel group Travelzest says it is in early stage discussions over a potential offer at 115p or less. | topinfo

01/3/2013 08:33 | 3.5 million shares. Most unusual! | ssur
28/2/2013 13:49 | erm, 1 million shares, that's a decent amount for this co | empirestate
19/2/2013 15:42 | empirestate, couldn't agree more. The travesty is that the Canadian business is doing very well and puts the shares on a ridiculously low multiple. Obviously any bidder has to pay off the debt. Clear of that it is a nice very undervalued business. | ssur
18/2/2013 14:03 | ssur, i was unimpressed by the way they issued their RNS's. Talk about misleading shareholders, saying what a significant premium potential offers were, take them off the table to let the inhouse team have a pop and they can't do the deal. Pathetic, it needs a new management team here and quick. | empirestate
15/2/2013 17:04 | Looks like some bottom fishing today! | ssur |
