And then we have farm out news to come!

I note Gil did okay with total earnings of $764k, up from $202k. Kinley got almost a Mil via his management role and his consultancy firm...

Malcy's comment of today's results.

"The financial results, like for any company primarily involved in exploration is a historical document and of little importance. As for the exploration results this was a disappointing quarter with the duster at Gazania although the company remain positive.

What I am most excited about is Block 3B/4B, offshore South Africa, where the company ‘are making steady progress towards conducting a two well drilling campaign on the licence. The drilling preparations and program are expected to commence in 2023 and, as previously announced, a potential farm-out process is also underway on the licence’.

The Lord only knows what is happening at the Orinduik Block in Guyana but they say that they hope to drill sometime starting in 2023…

There is lots of upside here, obviously I like South Africa but expect farm-outs in Namibia and drilling in Guyana to add to what is a portfolio bulging with exciting upside, for the patient…"

ltinvestor, Are you still planning to be at the investor presentation tomorrow morning. We would be interested in any opinions you can share.

The original presentation was postponed when the Queen died. They haven't set this one because they have news to release, simply fulfilling an obligation. Obviously its possible they do have developments to announce given Gil's comments about bids for 3B/4B nearing competition but I won't hold my breath.

The Investor Meeting…must have something to announce , otherwise why record and webcast it?.

“The event is being recorded and the presentation will be made available on the Company’s website as soon as practically possible.”

12months contract plus a 6 months option for a 3-well campaign.I dont think we should be surprised if our farminee on Blocks 3B/4B is Shell that would be able to offer the the Deepsea Bollsta semisub to drill relatively quickly between one of their Graff wells. This would also give them time to analyse Graff well data further inbetween drilling more on Graff.Shell like Total onviously knows a lot about the Orange Basin geology having drilled Graff so would be the perfect farminee in my view. They also have a lot less acreage in the Orange basin then Total so might be more hungry for more!N.-----htTps://www.upstreamonline.com/exploration/shell-to-fire-up-namibia-drill-campaign-within-days/2-1-1361423-----Shell has chartered the semisub on a 12-month contract and has an option to extend this deal for a further six months.Immanuel Mulunga, chief executive of Namcor, Namibia's state oil company Namcor, said last month that Shell plans to drill up to three wells in Petroleum Exploration Licence 90 which hosts Graff. He described Graff is a "major" discovery and stressed that it would be "fast-tracked" to first oil.The discovery well lies in 2000 metres of water, some 270 kilometres from Oranjemund and was drilled to a total depth of 5376 metres.According to Northern Ocean, its rig will also have to drill in waters up to 2400 metres deep, which implies one or more wells will be spudded to the west of Graaf.Shell's partners in Graff are Qatar Energy and Namcor.

I wonder if AO is the large buyer of the past few days?
chessman2
24/11/2022

Well yes, due to KH twice recently making public comments regarding AO wanting to end the current arrangement via sell or buy options, it would seem a no brainer to take ECO based on the current cheap price. Could come any time in my opinion.

Itinvestor agree. Africa Oil market cap is about 10 times Eco's at the moment. They should have strength to make it happen. If so I think this will flush out bids from other companies as well. Nevertheless I would like us to remain as is and drill some of those massive 3B/4B prospects.

I expect Africa oil to make an all share bid for Eco in 2023 as part of their consolidation plan..
