Now what! Must TLW related? Decision on Orinduik perhaps. I don’t hold here at the mo, but I hold indirectly through another Canadian AOI.

Chessman - me too regarding being well under historically (or hysterically) but thinking of adding. Quoted 25.999 to buy at the moment but 25.50 would be better - and possible.

The MMs continue to take stock onboard without dropping the share price very much which has to be a good indication for the future here.

I like many holders am much underwater so will endeavour to pick up more to reduce my average.

Tullow looking to farm out in Guyana :D

'Tullow also continues to focus on unlocking value from the substantial prospective resource base in the emerging basins of Guyana and Argentina, while seeking to mitigate capital exposure from historical work commitments of c.$50 million in 2022, through farm-downs.'

Hooray! Music to my ears. Form and orderly queue for a slice of Orinduik. Should be a lot of companies chomping at the bit including Hess, Exxon and other majors. Will we add a few extra percent? With TLW at a more appropriate level and another major onboard it should finally be full steam ahead for Orinduik a la Canje. Can't wait. GLA

Personally I hope Exxon or Hess come aboard as they will bring a wealth of experience and data from their tremendous success on Stabroek to bear in analyzing Orinduik . Given their Hammerhead discovery overlaps into our block and appears to be stacked and adjacent to other targets it would make a lot of sense if they did.

I guess the next announcement we should look for then is TLW farmout news followed by a drilling update, although perhaps they will be announced together as is often the case. If farm down is to occur then the chances of drilling more than one well in 2022 have just increased IMO.

Exxon have made a firm commitment to this region for many years ahead. With Canje located to the east of Starbroek and Orinduik to the west and with comments from Gil re collaboration in the region I wouldn’t be surprised to see Exxon take a stake in Orinduik sometime in the future.

This is very encouraging news for both Westmount and Eco Atlantic.

By Stabroek News September 7, 2021

Local ExxonMobil affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Limited (EEPGL) has said that its planned 12-Well Exploration and Appraisal (E&A) Drilling Program in the Canje Block, offshore Guyana, is slated to begin by the first quarter of 2022 once environmental authorisation is given for the project.

“The Project is planned to begin by 1Q2022 [first quarter of 2022]. If a discovery is made, a well test may be performed. Conclusion of the proposed drilling project is expected by 1Q2025,” EEPGL states in the Project Summary, which was recently published on the website of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The company, which says that operations and activities in the Canje block will continue to be performed under the terms of the petroleum agreements, licences, and relevant permits, also notes that factors that can influence its notional schedule include new discoveries, determination of the need for sidetracks and/or well tests that would extend the drilling period for such exploration wells as well as influence the location and sequence of subsequent wells.

The early buying this morning indicates to me that good news is not too far away.

I’m sure there are overseas investors here and perhaps they get a heads up before others.

Now confirmed by ECO.

Eco is pleased to announce that the Sapote-1 well on the Canje Block, offshore Guyana has been spudded. Drilling of the well is expected to take up to 60 days.

Gil Holzman, CEO (1/2): “With other drilling targets in the region having yielded significant discoveries, now totalling billions of barrels of oil and oil equivalent, we're excited about the potential of the Sapote-1 well and look forward to receiving the results in due course.”

Gil Holzman, CEO (2/2): “We’re also keen to deliver additional drilling success with our next exploration campaign on our neighbouring Orinduik block and the follow-through potential of Exxonmobil's recently announced multiple well pre-permitting on the Canje Block next year.”

The Stena DrillMAX has begun drilling the Sapote-1 prospect at the Canje Block, JHI Associates Inc. said on Sunday.

The Sapote-1 well is designed to test Upper Cretaceous reservoirs in a stratigraphic trap. The well is approximately 255 km northeast of Georgetown, in 2,550 meters of water, and is being drilled with the Stena DrillMax drillship.

The Sapote prospect lies approximately 100 km southeast of the Jabillo location and approximately 50 km north of the Haimara discovery in the Stabroek Block and approximately 60 km northwest of the Maka Central discovery in Block 58.

Sapote will be the third well to be drilled on the Canje block this year. Bulletwood-1 was safely drilled in 2,846 meters of water by the Stena Carron drillship to its planned target depth of 6,690 meters but failed to deliver commercial crude. Jabillo-1 was also non-commercial. It was safely drilled to a depth of 6,475 meters in 2,903 meters of water by the same rig

Maybe they will release an RNS when the well is actually spudded. It isn't yet.

"On August 28, 2021, Esso Exploration & Production Guyana Ltd (EEPGL) will
continue exploration drilling operations at Sapote-1 Well Site within the Canje Block"
