Smaller private companies will adapt far quicker than the massive NHS bus. Contracts need to be longer perhaps 8 years with option to extend for further 2 years. That way savings on contract pricing and office staff within the NGS can be saved.

As Bob would say why employ a number of people to organise separate contracts when you can employ one person to liaise with one company to organise a multitude of roles. Staffordshire as well advanced on doing this and hopefully they can get the contract sorted by the end of this year.

Anaesthetists are helping out in ICU's due to lack of ICU staff to meet growing case loads

The NHS is IMO going to be rebuilt

It has to be because this pandemic has shown up all the defects in spades

It was going to be drastically rejigged before Covid-19 showed its face which IMO is why other companies sold out to TLY for a nice cash exit .

IMO these sellers knew what was coming down the road last year

Things now are currently much much worse due to Covid-19

There are 40,000 RN vacancies unfilled for many months on the NHS

New Hospitals new ICU's shedloads of new nurses and frontline doctors are urgently needed with Sisters running their wards and nurses listened to by ALL to get things put right.

New modern equipment is badly needed

Staff will have to be retrained on new equipment and learn new response techniques

A new UK based PPE industry is needed , to supply the UK and export in good times

Pandemic treatment centres need to be designed and constructed such that they can be erected on identified and pre-prepared sites ie modular in construction , the next NHS must be designed to withstand the next pandemic.

Covid=19 is a practise run in though it will cost upwards of around $ 2 Trillion when the numbers are later added up.

Who gets access to A&E's, TeleHealth and Alexa home type Health terminals are coming much faster due to Covid-19 pressures.

NHS Automation by computers and machines using AI

Robots for many operations ( many doing them now more coming ) will be the way forward.

boris is going to have to spend $500 Billion on the NHS over the next 2 years
Another $500 Billion over the next 3 years

If he does it right the next Coronavirus to hit the UK might not kill so many and leave so many damaged people behind in its wake

50% of ICU survivors are unlikely to return to work again as they will be left with various levels of organ damage

That ongoing cost will be added to the above numbers

all IMO dyor

Yes Graham ...... All hands on deck ..... Re financial performance ...... Wendy mentioned the other week .... Performance was strong ..... And was likely to continue ...... I think today's revealed Cash position....Reinforces those comments .... And especially on lower envisaged revenue .... Speaks volumes on the progress of the integration / cost cutting of Greenbrook and improved margins through a number of Subsiduries ......

Incidentally looking at the intraday chart could bear out my theory on today's trades, that 662k+ delayed reported trade at 11.41 was most likely a buy.

My guess is that the market makers had a big buy order to fill and wanted to get cheap stock from anyone who thought revenues were more important than ebitda and despite another strong cash performance, so they kept dropping it to try and get people to panic. Then when the afternoon second buying wave started they had to move it back up.

Profit has beaten consensus forecasts, cash is very strong, and demand I would expect unprecedented - and seems set to remain that way for the rest of 2020 and beyond. Plenty of outstanding contracts waiting to be awarded by the NHS, who will need companies like TLY to fulfil them.

And no matter how much money the NHS have they will still need companies like TLY to deliver because as we know the NHS will still have staff shortages once those who rejoined to help in this crisis leave just as quickly as they arrived.

Some of the daft rules on freedom of movement enforced by Brexit will ensure that problem is only exacerbated in coming years too imho.
