They are not experts in Upstream gas generation and extraction either. So exactly what are they good at.... Beats me, other than spending Tlou shareholders money chasing an ever-receding rainbow.

Whendy - you are going to have to learn the art of conversation. Coz I certainly am not going to spell out the exact meaning of every phrase in every post I make.

Tidd referenced SEZs in his post - that implies he thinks they will be important to how Tlou deliver gas to a local power station. Well I simply don’t see how that is remotely relevant - that is my point. Quite a simple one really.

Not every post of mine is meant to undermine Tlou’s progress or strategy. Perhaps if you appreciated this, you would structure your responses differently and more appropriately.

In any event, I am real bored just hearing your point of view on this shmuuck of a company. It is going nowhere any time soon.

Can we agree on that ?

Blisters I don’t believe Tlou are pretending to be experts in downstream generation. Again can you find me information where that has been the case?

IPC are in charge of downstream as partnership for development of the GtP project.

Please, if your going to try and post at least get your facts right.

Blisters can you find me an extract of information please where it has been stated by someone of relevance that CBM would NOT be included into the energy mix? I can find plenty that state that it will be, I don’t want an omitted word I want that exact phrase. Good luck.

Donkey, the relevance to a SEZ is pertinent with CBM and any other infrastructure via the route of FDI to better help the people and economy.

The link was relevant to that I believe, regardless. It is more applicable than it is not applicable it just falls into that topic it isn’t a “creation̶1; of anything as you state.

Unless you can lay out what point you are trying to make in terms of SEZs and the protocol for “creating̶1; one as you claim?

I think you've hit the nail right on the head there money4. Gilby is good at proving up Gas reserves and selling out. He is not good, and has never ever, brought a CBM company from exploration through to production and onto the power Grid. NEVER! There is nobody working at TLOU who has done that. SO! Why would any third party want to buy out TLOU, when the Government has clearly stated that the future power focus for Botswana is through COAL and RENEWABLES - NOT CBM. Sure, buy some now then wait for the next nn% increase in reserves then sell, if you fancy a gamble, but that's about all that is going for it. After that, well, bleak or dread, the choice is yours.

Whendy old fruit - if Tidd thought there was nothing of relevance to Tlou re SEZs, then why bother to post the extract of it from Masisi speech.

Come on man, you are better than that surely.

I don’t think he has mentioned anything about the creation of a SEZ donkey?

I thought you were going to give it a rest?

It appears Tidd has taken an extract from the Masisi speech and provided elaboration to it along with its meaning for those not familiar.

Liartidd, what exactly have you offered?

what have TLOU said about their plans. the "news could come anytime" approach is only for simple minded people who can't think for themselves. they might get some off take agreement but increasing reserves is what they know. drilling due later in the year. until then.......

Well actually Liartidd, he is saying the next salvation will come from the creation of SEZs. Beats me how that is needed to develop an indigenous source of local gas. But what do I know; I’m just a liar and a troll that posts under multiple alias.

It ain’t going up far any time fast is really the point to be making. Been saying that for a while now......

Masisi Inauguration Speech

Point 22. “In order to give concrete effect to our economic diversification aspirations, Government will prioritise the implementation of Cluster Development across various sectors, particularly the prioritized sectors of diamond beneficiation, tourism, beef, mining and financial services. Government will also expedite the implementation of the Special Economic Zones which will contribute immensely to the socio economic development of this country.”

Special Economic Zones (SEZ

The Special Economic Zones (SEZ) policy adopted by the Government of Botswana has been designed to attract world class domestic and foreign investors by offering them developed infrastructure, state of the art technology, beneficial inter-sectoral linkages, improvements in economies of scale, specially trained skilled labour force and targeted economic incentives. Botswana’s SEZ policy seeks to:

Coordinate, promote and facilitate SEZ investments
Identify locations for establishing SEZs
Ensure ba
sic infrastructure and utilities are in place
National and international programmes promoting SEZs
Licence SEZ investors
At a broader level SEZs are intended to achieve the following:

Diversify the economic and export base of Botswana beyond the diamond mining sector
Provide a hassle free business environment offering investors a competitive edge in world markets
Establish a one stop, full service business environment catering to the needs businesses located within the SEZ
Create business development opportunities for small, medium and micro-enterprise suppliers who meet the logistical and ancillary needs of SEZ enterprises
Develop a portfolio of public sector, private sector, and public-private partnerships (PPPs) with the SEZ as the market indicates
Develop SEZs, which are integrated with domestic, regional and international markets
Categorise and coordinate business development within SEZs to promote inter-sectoral economies of scale
Provide SEZ incentive packages consistent with Botswana’s domestic and international trade obligations
Develop SEZ labour laws consistent with the ILO standards
Create employment through the countrywide development of SEZs

24. In this respect, the partnership between government and the private sector must be strengthened, consolidated and intensified to propel this country to greater heights in terms of economic stimulation, job creation and sustainable economic growth. In this context, the private sector is therefore expected to step forward and take the lead in catalysing economic activity and sustainable job creation while government plays the facilitative role. This government will be more facilitating and more demanding of the private sector to play true and fair. Our resolve to ensure fairness and justice should not be misconstrued to mean laxity and abdication.

You continually post that I tell lies and that you are the only one capable of posting facts. Since you are incapable of determining fact from opinion, serious from tongue in cheek, or engaging in ideas and possibilities and theories, well really i am just bored with all your drivel.

I am contemplating drawing a line given the change in ‘Govt’ (jeez that still cracks me up) and waiting to see what first moves Masisi makes.

Happy Easter everyone, especially my 2 bunny mates. Enjoy your egg hunt with your ‘daughtersR17;.

Don’t try and deflect, point out where I said that in the above?

You continually post things as though they are gospel when it is evident you don’t have a handle on what it is you’re writing about.

Just because YOU don’t understand something doesn’t mean it is wrong. Perhaps it best to ask a question instead of attempting to mislead an audience (intentional or otherwise) when you’re clearly not educated enough on the matters to offer advice.

If the world is so black and white as to categorising everyone as either a ramper or a deramper, then clearly I am a deramper following my various comments.

Do I see myself as a deramper - not in the slightest. Never actually (but Laurel and Hardy will disagree).

My beef all the way through here as been against the ridiculous over-representation of Tlou by various posters of this opportunity and the company prospects. Botswana is not the nirvana country as suggested by the ‘rampers’;. It is a wonderfully large country with a small economy that has been struggling in economic malaise for quite some years. Local business, construction especially, has struggled massively. BPC has been so badly mismanaged, they brought in supposed ‘foreign expertise’ to turn the leading state utility around. Politics has increasingly divided the country - that is sadly the true Khama legacy.

Typically incorrectly, Khama stepping down and Masisi stepping up is being portrayed as a change of Government. FFS, use your brains. BDP are still in power and only 1 person has changed. Maybe he will make senior cabinet changes in time but change of Govt it most certainly is not !!

There is plenty of history of how certain players have tried to develop CBM in Botswana over many years. I have tried to relate some of that, as best I know it, in boards. And been heavily criticised for doing so by the rampers. What is it exactly they are afraid of or fear?

Because I bother to do that, I continue to be accused by the rampers as being a deramper.

Judge for yourself - interested only in deramping or interested in getting some realism into the conversation.

The views of others would be welcome - continued attacks from Whendy and Busboy are taken as a given.
