Depressing results ; this has the look of a lemon about it .The usual statement of excuses and optimistic noises.Don't think I will get my money back here - one to forget....

Have often noticed when somebody gets well below the bid price then the price will eventually fall to that level...

...or perhaps not .The share price is recovering now. Some heavy director ownership I see ; encouraging factor but not enough on its own.Holding tight.

I've sold out. I couldn't see any posssible improvement in trading and the South Korean venture is looking ill-conceived.

Also, it looks to me like any competitve advantage they had in window ventilation has gone. Margins aren't sustainable.

I made a small overall profit, mostly through dividends paid.

Good luck to holders.

Half year results disappointing , as is the prospects paragraph.Only down 6% this morning , hard to see much support; though a degree of pessimism must be in the price already.

We do not anticipate a significant recovery in either UK or overseas markets in the second half year. Accordingly, we will take measures to reduce our overheads in the period consistent with the current economic climate. We have recently invested in new machinery to enable us to manufacture more of our products in house and we hope that this will help maintain the margins on our mechanical products.

We will continue to work with our Korean partners to introduce new products and will support them wherever possible.

We believe that it is vital for the UK economy that growth is restored and that this will lead to increased consumer confidence. This, in turn, will help the UK housing market, which we remain dependent upon. Until there is an increase in this activity we do not anticipate any material improvement in our prospects.

The spread is usually a bit of a dampener here ; seldom less than 5% or so.
I think it is too speculative for me to put much more into. Not one to sell the farm for.

Looks like interesting times. Undervalued stock that needs some action, and a new Executive Chairman appointed. We may see some movement when the Interims come out in a couple of weeks time. I have made a modest first purchase of 10k shares at 44p.

25(th) April 2012

Titon Holdings Plc ("Titon" or "the Company"), the ventilation and window and door hardware group, announces that Mr Keith Ritchie is re-joining the Board of Directors as an Executive Director with effect from 30 April 2012. Mr Ritchie was a Non Executive Director of Titon between February 2005 and June 2009 and has maintained close links with the Company between 2009 and now. Mr Ritchie, a Chartered Accountant, has had a long career in the City of London working for a number of financial institutions. He leaves Bank of America Merrill Lynch after spending nearly 12 years there as a Director in the Global Markets division and was a board member of a number of subsidiary companies, with executive responsibilities.

Mr Ritchie and his wife together have a beneficial interest over 927,280 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing 8.8% of the Company's issued Ordinary Share Capital. No further details are required to be disclosed in accordance with Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

It is also announced that Mr John Anderson will retire as Chairman and Executive Director of Titon with effect from 1(st) July 2012 and will become a Non Executive Director and Deputy Chairman from that date. Mr Keith Ritchie will be appointed Executive Chairman from 1(st) July 2012.

Commenting on these changes Mr John Anderson said: "I have decided that, in my 70(th) year, this is the right time for me to stand down from executive duties. As Titon's founder and major shareholder, I believe it is vital that we appoint the right person to take the Company forward in an increasingly complex business world and under the most challenging economic circumstances. Keith brings to Titon a wealth of knowledge and experience from the City of London and has gained a very good understanding of Titon's business from his links with the Company over the last 7 years. I am confident that Keith, alongside the existing senior management team, will lead Titon successfully in the future and he has my full support.

Hardly a controversial retirement if aged 70.Good to see a new chairman with a big holding.

Tipped somewhere or informed buying on a 7am RNS ?

We'll find out tomorrow.

Still undervalued at these levels though.

55p net working capital plus 25p freehold property assets.

The AGM is tomorrow btw.

I see 10,000 total traded ( not including Plus ) so that's 2 X 5,000.

Still materially cheap though the share price should be trading between 50-60p at least imo.

5000 buy at 38p has pinged the price up a few pence this am ; noise or a real trend?
