I see it being taken out by someone like Alumansc, there will be synergies there and they now have their house in order.

Hmm, look like words of hope rather than expectation about future recovery. Sit on hands time I guess.

Well, revenue only down -5.7% to £22.1m.
Plus outlook statement reasonably positive so i think im quite happy with that.

I was hunting around trying to find the interview, sorry my mistake it wasnt Christopher Mills it was Richard Staveley - the lead fund manager.

Titon is talked about at 27.20:

Needs taking over imho. Have said before that ALU would be a possible good fit and strip out duplicate costs.

I think I bought in late nineties and sold at 140 in 2004

Floated at just over £1.50 so its half that now but one consolation is that the share price has been much lower, half of what it is now on a couple of occasions in the past.

Well you might even have sold for £2 30yrs ago - hate to think what that price would be compounded to now!
Actually just checked, the compounded CPI rate is surprisingly only 220%, so about £4.40
That makes me feel better.

Am I dreaming - I think I sold at 140 about 20 years ago?

3 yrs ago Korea was the biggest profit contributor and I guess it is difficult to say goodbye to that, especially if they cannot get a good price. Bit like me hopefully hanging on to what was once a 3 bagger on paper...

I'm surprised the share price has not dropped further, there is little but bad news in that update. I don't think we are at rock bottom.
Mind you the share price is only based on two trades today.
Was tempted to sell and buy back later, but with an apparent spread of 5p it is not worth it.

seems that the Korean business has been neglected and allowed to fall behind the competition and radical surgery is now the only option.

Korean division proving to be problematic.

Cash down to £1.7m. Still loss-making for H1. (Dont think we will be getting a final dividend then!)

They've clearly hit rock-bottom here but hopefully the only way is up especially with the support of its new shareholders.

Some buys at 85 this am ; perhaps it was the nadir.

The last three years have given Titon and all other small manufacturing companies a lot to contend with.Obviously going forward the economy looks like we are going to enter a period of recession however Titon have faced this before and i expect them to survive.Good to see diectors putting money where there mouth is and i feel Ms French is someone the chairman can work with.On the plus side Korea looks like it will show a small profit and with new products coming online end of 2022 beginning 2023 korea could well make a meaningful contribution again. As always GLA

You cant read too much into director share purchases no, i agree, but combine Ms French's buy and Mr Hooper's and you have over £38k of shares bought which is not to be sniffed at.

The main thing is at least they are willing to put their own money in.

With the Chairman's large stake plus the Anderson family's holding along with the new shareholder Rockwood ordinary investors here would now hope that all the important stakeholders are pulling in the same direction.

Agreed - but surely 75p will prove to be the nadir given the balance sheet strength, historic performance, and the directors' "skin in the game". It should be more like 130p IMO, but it wont happen quickly given the update - unless it gets taken over, of course, but that would necessitate more than 130p.
