The Group will pay an ordinary interim dividend of 1.0p per share (2009: 0.75p per share) on 30th September 2010 to shareholders on the register on the 3rd September 2010.
Once the disposal of Alphameric Solutions Limited has been fully finalised we
will be in a position to definitively quantify the distributable reserves
available within the Company and assess the appropriateness of additional
returns to shareholders in a manner that best enhances shareholder value.

my guess a reasonable divi for now. Return of capital will require an EGM to declare a special divi and or issue of B Shares redeemable immediately or in future tranches. This would allow cash to be declared as either income or capital gains according to your circumstances.

In case anyone is interested. I spoke with Capita today regarding the issue of new share certificates to replace the old Alphameric ones. He advised that the old share certificates were still valid.

I read an article the other day about how betting shops are under extreme pressure due to online gaming habits. Looks as if the recent unit sell was a master stroke from the board.

Yes, let's hope we get the rise we deserve. On-line price quote from TDW shows a rise of .75p at the moment.
IMO the present price makes no sense, it's just we are off the radar of most investors.
I have a feeling that within the next month that will change and that Mr Lewis and the Reuben (apologies if I have mis-spelt) brothers are going to change that by going head to head over this one. Good fun, eh?

There are buyers accumulating when they can get hold of stock. I am just waiting for Aug 24 to see what the dividend/ capital return is, 22 dealing days to go, suspect share price will start to creep up over next few weeks.

The year end was extended by a month this year . so the announcement is also a month late (actually month + 10 days ), which is the reason for the later announcement.
Probably we will hear then what they intend to do with the cash. They need some cash for opetrations and I think most of the £35m is in the joint company and will not be distributed. I reckon about £10 m is likely to be shared out.
On the other hand we may see a bid.

To me it looks like a buy...small sells got only 24.25 all day and the biggy got 25...don't think so...but lets face it... it is irrevalent...doesn't change the overall picture of confusion and lethargy of the share price ..wants some news or action to get this going...like watching paint dry I'm afraid at the moment...and reading the other board it looks a bit fraught...I hope not...
