23/8/2018 09:01 | Damp Squib about sums this up! | mostro
23/8/2018 08:53 | It's because no one has any faith in Mick Billing's ability to move this forward. It took him 6 months just to produce an updated DFS! He is incapable of delivering a working mine by 2020 and needs to sell MH to people who can. He needs to find partners quickly or the share price will tank, much like it did with the Kapunda announcement. 6 months on from that and we're still waiting for news on a JV partner.Mick Billing is the only reason that THR is not valued by its assets.AIMHO.... | abrahe00
23/8/2018 08:50 | Andy, With the fab economics, 59% IRR and costs less than $100/MTU Mick may be able to get that Asian JV he was after with the Japanese or Koreans. But the next big news will be the scoping study for PM which was due around June. Mick did say he had started receiving some results in a recent interview. Hopefully he'll have all the data soon. I agree though, this one was a bit like KOD that stated it would have a JORC last summer and it didn't materialize. Now that folks know the JORC is coming there soon its now back in fashion again. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/8/2018 08:41 | des, I guess it's because there's the small matter of raising the funding before people can get too excited. Possibly some became impatient and left the bus during the long wait for the DFS, and the enthusiasm that drove the price up to 4p simply isn't there now? I would suggest good funding news will generate new interest and excitement, so Mick needs to keep shareholders informed of progress on that front. | andy
23/8/2018 08:31 | Very disappointing share price reaction. | desflurane
23/8/2018 08:22 | Tel, Its one of these companies that's not well followed though. Great assets, small cap but should have a much higher profile. I guess PM scoping study will help with that as that's where the big numbers will be. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/8/2018 08:20 | Pale, Yeah top end of my range for MH and I had assumed it would have taken in some of the underground ore. Since this is all pittable and costs are now down to $90/MTU its a pretty fab result. Lots of upside on ug ore and Bonya. Great to see that about 15-20% of THR is worth A$100m NPV. Next suspension is likely for the PM scoping study which will have significantly larger numbers and as you suggest is expected imminently. Mick did also hint at some more PM drilling starting September, gotta put their cash to good use as they're funded to late next year. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/8/2018 08:19 | Amazed it's sitting green.... | telbap
23/8/2018 08:12 | It's a big jump in NPV/IRR better than I expected Ed. Underpins current mcap with room to spare and without taking into account PM or Kapunda, both of which have news due too. Pity no mention of those 'accelerating and intensifying' talks Mick referred to in June. | paleje
23/8/2018 07:56 | Another interesting point is too that this DFS is only the open pittable resource, doesn't include the underground ore body. So Bonya and deeper reserves likely to increase LoM quite dramatically. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/8/2018 07:53 | Must admit I sold half of mine yesterday on that small spike. All looks a long way off and a lot of funding needed. Will take 3p please | barnetpeter
23/8/2018 07:52 | A fine set of numbers from Mick, it slightly exceeded my expectations yesterday. Fabulous, NPV of $101m multiples of the current market cap from one of the smaller assets. LOM currently in excess of A$500m and that's likely to increase as they drill and prove up the high grade Bonya. Only $43m to get the show on the road. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/8/2018 07:49 | So how does that see the SP? | telbap
23/8/2018 07:30 | After all of these years, Thor are going to be a producing company! A$245m / 7 = A$35m per year | 5chipper
23/8/2018 07:15 | • Total project revenue of in excess of A$500 million over the current seven year life of mine. • EBITDA of A$245 million with project payback period of less than 18 months after payment of royalties and taxation. • All equity Net Present Value (NPV) of A$101 million at a discount rate of 5% with an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 59%, both after payment of taxation and royalties. • Project finance requirement of US$43 million. • Seven year mine life with first production targeted for early 2020, utilising simple open cut mining operation and conventional mineral processing techniques. • Substantial upside potential from subsequent underground mining at Molyhil and from the nearby Bonya tungsten deposits. | prinnytoo
23/8/2018 07:11 | ASX has the announcement | prinnytoo
22/8/2018 15:06 | Pale, Well there's no harm sticking to the facts and that's what people need as investors. THR is certainly not trading on hype given its current cap that's for sure. Same cannot be said about many others on AIM right now. Fact is MH is due an upgrade, its mainly down to efficiencies and high commodity prices allowing for deeper mining and development of the underground resource which isn't even in the JORC. So tomorrow's news will be interesting just to see exactly what it contains, will it just be the sorter efficiencies or will there be reference to deeper mining. Bonya will extend Molyhil but it'll need more expo to get JORC there too. I know there's so much deramping on these boards these days that some folks don't like using the facts as they sound too good. That's a nice chart from Mick there for sure, Molybdenum has another nice chart at present too. :) No doubt Mick will be wheeled out onto proactive again tomorrow to discuss the release. Regards, Ed. | edgein
22/8/2018 14:55 | True Ed, I don't like talking the higher numbers though, everyone thinks it's ramping and twitter is already doing a good job on that. Funny thing is the upper potential really is as silly as it sounds vs current mcap. Just need a bit of help getting the best out of what we have imo. Tweet from Mick over a week old but showing tungsten rise up to 10 Aug. Start of a bull run? he asks. Even Mick can't resist:) | paleje
22/8/2018 11:08 | 5chipper, Ta for that fella, it hasn't generated much interest so far. Hopefully tomorrow. Pale, Well at least its in the right direction! Whatever MH comes in at we know PM is about 3-4 times bigger (so far but lots of expo could multiply that with the right jv partner) and Kapunda a little smaller. Regards, Ed. | edgein
22/8/2018 11:03 | Sharetalk have posted on LSE mystic Zak's TA analysis not that I think it means much but for fun, THR about 4 mins in. His tea leaves say 4.5p. | paleje
22/8/2018 10:27 | Just quickly scanned it whilst in Tesco. Basically saying shares surged after long awaited dfs finally on the way | 5chipper
22/8/2018 10:23 | 5chipper, What did it say? Regards, Ed. | edgein
22/8/2018 10:19 | Tipped in Mail Stockwatch this morning | 5chipper
22/8/2018 09:51 | Pale, Well we'll see, but with the new efficiencies and if they include some of the underground mineable ore below the proposed pit it could be a decent boost to the old DFS. Regards, Ed. | edgein
22/8/2018 09:33 | Back in Feb (when we thought DFS would be Mar) I was thinking maybe 20-40% NPV increase, the odds are better now so let's hope your numbers could be, Ed. It will be a measure of value even though they are notoriously inaccurate. I prefer to cut NPV's in half or more and see if it stacks up. Then, in this case, multiply by 3:) Above all I'd like to see a 3rd party enter the picture. | paleje |
