'backing from world class miners,'

in the case of eua, that's anglo !

cga, mc/c and pamodzi are definitely not in that league.

st, nor me.

Here's something amusing, posted on the EUA thread 7/11/07 by bbbb
Wonder if it applies to TMG ? Time for some chicken counting !

"
it may only be a matter of time before the gold/pgm/ idea overflows into
juniors perceived as having real backing from world class miners, in which
case takeoff could be spectacular. the new year 'tips' may be looking for
penny stocks with potential, which could add muscle.

Just to get things clear in my mind my understanding is that after payment of debt due Thistle's sole assets will be shares in Pamodzi is this correct? and does anyone have an idea of how much of Pamodzi this will be? Will the current restructuring be enough to clear the debt obligation to MC Casten?

a hedge with such losses raises the question of prior competence of previous
management. such losses are balanced by a correspoding gain to the counterparty, just as the high interest paid on this debt does not accrue to all the shareholders. the potential cashflow of a mine such as this can be drawn off in many different ways. not all for the benefit of those who think they see wonderful things.

the original hedge was theoretically taken out to protect the company.
but it's ended up as 'a term credit facility of approximately
US$45 million with maturity corresponding to the closed-out hedge programme
covering a period up to August 2007.'

did original holders buy for the privilege of coughing up this sort of money
for nothing?

bbbb-> you want the reminder of how the debt mountain started ?

MC/Casten have committed years to resolving the problems at thistle,
masterful plans now coming to fruition.

"
Toronto, 10th August 2004. Thistle Mining Inc. (TSX: THT and AIM: TMG) has
completed a total restructure of its gold sales hedge programme. The Company
has closed out, at a price of US$397.50 per ounce, its forward, and contingent
forward, gold sales programme over 491,627 ounces. The resultant liability will
be repaid as if having the profile of a term credit facility of approximately
US$45 million with maturity corresponding to the closed-out hedge programme
covering a period up to August 2007.

Been checking out their website and they do have their fingers in many pies. My thoughts are it's time to make myself fully abreast of this company since it may be more positive than I had first considered. Once pamodzi's trend changes, if it hasn't already, there could be a significant move in the offing.
