Nothing to do with shorters. There was a lot of selling pressure for various reasons and this got massively oversold. The analyst target was something of the order of 250 and most other analysts were above 500 some near 800-900p. This is what happens when you switch from "sell" to "buy" - everyone now wants to buy the shares but holders don't want to sell. This is why smithy came across as a clown for selling at 170 and goforgold for getting out at 180. It's going to be a rocky ride this one but sentiment and momentum have definitely shifted massively over the past 2-3 weeks.
