Why did Mars make the acquisition now.abd paying such a high premium (3.75 cash per share plus 1 stock acquirer for stock target)? few answers:
1. UK gilt yield beginning to drop quickly, this will increase equity prices. buy now better on the cheap! wven with such a premium. rate cuts are.coming.
2. UK businesses are undervalued and trade at multiples lower than their US peers.
3. pound is regaining ground against the dollar.
there you go!
