I'm happy to hang around after the AGM and mingle with fellow investors and take in a presentation. I am interested in the company you mention - sounds like great value. May as well make the most of my train fare to London.

A few of the smaller oilies seem to be having AGMs coming up as NPE is just after the TMN meeting....Any real small caps on ultra low ratings with no debt ideally. I have arranged for a really good one to do the presentation at the Christmas Mello on 15th December. It also looks like it will be sponsored so that the drinks will all be free that night.

Amazingly the company are net cash and currently about 120% ahead of forecasts. That puts them on a p/e of about 3 and nearly all their earnings are in dollars. Plus....the product is energy saving and in huge demand. They put the prices up 25% last week with no reduction in demand. In this stupid market the price has been falling and is about 60% off its high. I may ask them if they want to come into London for a presentation after the TMN AGM.

Great idea

Two of my other core holdings have AGMs within days (Nighthawk and Encore) so I dont really have any thing to suggest.

Adrian Moss from DGM would be very interesting as he is in the same industry but he is based out in Singapore and not in the UK much as far as I am aware.

So I would be happy to go with the flow and its always good to meet a company not on my radar.

Actually its a great time for new ideas as there are some wrongly priced companies out there

Sorry to hear that Stemis but I guess all our holdings in TMN are worth substantially less than they were in the IBG days. It will be good to see you all there. Do any of you fancy meeting the directors of any other company whilst we are in London as the early start will probably give us time for another before lunch ??

I am happy to arrange if we have a common interest...

Not me I'm afraid. In 2007 my holding was worth enough to justify coming down from the north for a day in London. Not anymore..........

Nice to be remembered but I sold out of IBG long ago (managing to take a lot of the profit that was available, fortunately) so I'm not entitled to go. I keep an eye on this thread, though. I think TMN look pretty cheap and worth monitoring but the same can be said about most shares.

How many remember my forecast of significant house price falls and recession at the April 2007 AGM? Most of you seemed a bit sceptical. Whilst that gives me bragging rights, I thought you might be pleased to hear that I am sticking my neck out again and calling the bottom (or near enough) for UK based shares (i.e the FT-SE 250, smallcaps and AIM, rather than the international 100, although that may do likewise). I'm starting to feel quite positive again about shares although the economy will worsen before picking up significantly in H2 2010. Obviously the market will sniff this out in the next year.

If you think I'm mad, just look at his chart showing the Tech bubble's then the housing bubble's effect on the All-Share. It has now bounced and is awaiting the next round of rate cuts which are coming thick and fast. (My forecast is based on money markets primarily but the chart shows it so well visually.)

I hope that cheers you up a bit after a hard couple of years. (I've found it hard enough and I saw it coming and took evasive action.)

Happy halloween!

AffiliateFuture wins Best use of Affiliate Marketing at IMA Awards!
We're delighted to announce that AffiliateFuture has won an IMA Award in the category of "Best use of Affiliate Marketing" with our entry for the launch of sunshine.co.uk. We're proud to have earned this accolade with sunshine.co.uk, a travel brand which is run by affiliates for affiliates and a shining example of a top notch affiliate marketing programme!

The IMA (Interactive Marketing and Advertising) Awards, run by sister titles New Media Age and Marketing Week, are the only awards that cover marketing, advertising and interactive media. All categories were hotly contested, so we're thrilled to have come out on top with our entry.

We've got loads of new and exciting developments taking place on the network, so keep your eyes peeled for AffiliateFuture's name in lights as we gear up for 2009!

That is absolutely fantastic news - high quality names there in an important sector for the affiliate industry

With concerns over sector concentration (travel dominant) and growth rates, this is tangible evidence of the newly invigorated business development strategy (which was one of the weak points under the previous regime - Buy.at had a much more commercial approach based on targeting big names and building relationships with agencies, won loads of new accounts, and then sold themselves for £75m) beginning to pay off.

Not getting carried away, buts its just nice to see some good stuff happening

Nice move for AF to improve their gambling affiliate presence:

First post:

"Hi All,

I am a Business Development Manager at AffiliateFuture and mainly look after the gaming and gambling vertical.

We are introducing more and more gaming/gambling merchants to Affiliate Future, look out soon for PKR, Party Poker and Sky Bingo to name but a few. We are also in discussions with many more similar merchants in the Poker and Sportsbook sector.

I am keen to hear from affiliates on how we can continue to evolve and innovate this vertical and add more and more merchants to this sector.

Regards,"

As a result:

"Dear Affiliates,

Thanks for your feedback from the last post, this feedback has meant I have signed up 16 new merchants in this sector in the last 14 days some of which are exclusive to AF! So keep an eye out for the following merchants going live on AF very soon........

PKR
Riverbelle
Party Bingo
Pikum
Grand Billiards
Jackpotcity
Party Poker
Gaming Club
Coolhand Poker
Party Gaming
Titan Poker
Jackpot Bingo
Hollywood Poker
Lucky Nugget
XforeX
Club Hollywood

Watch this space with more to come over the next few months.

Regards,

Terry Hollingshead
Business Development Manager

First share price rise in a loooong time. Having read the annual report yesterday and spoken with chairman harkness it seems things may be pretty ok with tmn, thus we are on an incredibly cheap share price

Still annoyed with the agm scheduling though.

I have got an e-mail back from Craig apologising for the timing, but pointing out that "it is not practicable to change the time of the meeting". I have e-mailed back pointing out that the inconvenience is greater for the shareholders than TMN staff as there are more of us!
