03/3/2017 21:11 | 1399Peter, I have seen evidence of deals been struck on financing based on proved reserves and this is quite normal !. Whether such a deal can be struck in KAZ with the local KAZ Banks may be dependent on local knowledge and contacts together with the backing of the Kumars' who may be very useful in helping to set up a deal !. Just my view !. | hguess16
03/3/2017 21:06 | LFDKMP Having followed TPL for quite some time now, I do hope that I have picked up some signals as to how the new team of Wells/May and the Kumars are moving compared to the less organised previous team. The way that Wells/May and the Kumars responded to the Olisol illegal acts provided some confidence that they were determined to hang in there in KAZ and sort it out. I do think that the key challenge is to keep the existing lenders comfortable and at bay by proving that Tethys means business !. I hope that a deal is struck which ensures that the future is secure and that oil and gas starts to flow again and make it the business viable !. Fingers crossed !!. | hguess16
03/3/2017 21:02 | hguess Securing the loans against assets is probably the only way they can go. As long as Tethys can get on and develop those assets without any hindrance or delay and then sell their oil&gas at market rates in the kind of quantities they need to, then all will be good, fingers crossed we don't get stitched up and our assets taken. | 1399peter
03/3/2017 20:37 | LFDKMP The next piece of news will be the deciding factor for Tethys that's for sure, I seriously hope that we don't have to wait much longer for that. With the right finance in place this company could quite possibly become a big player. | 1399peter
03/3/2017 20:16 | RBSecurities messing around again. Now how many 1000 sells have they made throughout the past year and a half. | temporarily insane
03/3/2017 20:09 | I do get the impression hguess that you are a lot closer to the action and/or more informed than yer average punter. :-) | lfdkmp
03/3/2017 20:00 | Pure speculation !!. I get the impression that there are tough, challenging and hopefully constructive negotiations taking place at present between the Tethys team, the existing lenders and the new potential lenders in trying to come up with adequate cash flow to get the business back on track. It is quite possible that existing proved oil and gas reserves might be one of many options that may be acceptable to certain lenders as part of a Tethys corporate guarantee !. | hguess16
03/3/2017 19:46 | Peter I'm not sure that any chartist (or aviationist) would give me the time of day, however I'm of the opinion that whilst we are probably not about to go into vertical take off, neither (no longer) are we in a tailspin. Gradual rebuilding of confidence matched by solid upward progress will do me. We will see in the next couple of months. | lfdkmp
03/3/2017 19:36 | LFDKMP You're certainly not on your own there. I think we have all been shouting a lot worse than that this week. However I remain stupidly confident that these guys will get Tethys back on its feet. | 1399peter
03/3/2017 19:15 | Today I did something I vowed I would not do. I have just put some good money (not a lot) after the bad I put into TPL in the Dr Robson heyday. "Folly" I hear you shout. Dunno, sometimes you just get a feeling. | lfdkmp
03/3/2017 19:06 | TI Now don't quote me on this 600 is a signal used by the MM's to provide resistance at that level in the event that lots of small sells come through to cane the share price lower, is what I'm thinking. Or there is a level of confidence out there to absorb any sells without dropping the bid Edit: that can be explained by these guys knowing a lot more about Tethys progress than we do, | 1399peter
03/3/2017 18:41 | Why bother!!!!.......Can | temporarily insane
03/3/2017 09:46 | Well at least the broker who made the controlling 10000 sell waited for a few seconds. Easy to manipulate the market when you can see all of the cards. | temporarily insane
03/3/2017 08:55 | It's certainly been that hguess, I am hoping that things are close to being resolved if the flurry of trades (or shorts closing out) yesterday on TSX are anything to go by. And they seem to be holding the sell price firmly where it is | 1399peter
03/3/2017 08:40 | PI's in waiting room !. This is like a modern "Four Act" Shakespearian play !. "TETHYS SAGA" Act 1. Robson and his merry disciples, SinoHan, AOT, Tajikistan, "Hype and Noise" Act 2. Jim Bell,Exec Chair and his team, Cayman, AGR, Nostrum, Enter Olisol through the back door Act 3. Enter Olisol with Abramov in the Chair and Skripka, the Pseudo Deal Artist, Final scene: Exit Olisol,Skripka and Abramov. Act 4. Wells in the Chair, May as CEO, Scene 1. Abramov re-enters with threats Scene 2. Enter Kumars' Scene 3. Negotiations on Funding, Trade,WIP Scene 4. Rehearsals - Script in progress PI's still in waiting room !!. | hguess16
02/3/2017 20:45 | hguess I am glad you made that very important point about PI's being the foundation of all listed companies. It would be nice if they remembered that from time to time. You see, we're never happy lol Come on Tethys!! | 1399peter
02/3/2017 20:32 | TI,1399Peter, PI's are always at the bottom of the pyramid. Let's see what happens !. | hguess16
02/3/2017 20:19 | hguess Totally agree with your post, none of us want a half cooked deal. But if there is one thing that is as sure as death and tax and that's PI's who are always wanting more. We pass our time by having a bit of a moan up every now and then lol. I think things are brewing here, some good volume today on TSX. | 1399peter
02/3/2017 20:08 | And there you have it......... TD Securities (007) 6000 | temporarily insane
02/3/2017 19:38 | TI, The TPL spread has been hardening in the last few days ! | hguess16
02/3/2017 19:27 | ......and no movement in share price when a 2000 sell would trigger a drop. WTF | temporarily insane
02/3/2017 19:12 | 1399Peter, I see volume up to 707k on TSX !. Would a 1m plus be a signal ?. | hguess16
02/3/2017 19:07 | 1399Peter, Time since early Dec 16, when the new team took over !. - Sort out the Olisol illegal acts against Tethys in KAZ - Institute legal action in KAZ and in Alberta Having myself been involved in the past with lenders incl banks in developing countries, it took me more than a few weeks to negotiate rescheduling existing loan commitments and reschedule and, in some cases, repay some of the loans through a new loan arrangement with a new lender. It involved the provision of a separate corporate guarantee provided by the parent company. All this took some considerable time and effort !. I am convinced that the new team does not want to issue news which is incomplete and lacks credibility. Hence the delay !. While I know that it is frustrating for us PI's, as we are unable to take an active role in the negotiations, I think you would agree that it would be more sensible and prudent to wait until they provide information that contains firm agreements and guarantees from existing and new lenders rather than promises that cannot be fulfilled !. | hguess16 |
