Mukai caught my eye..

Comments Cheetham: “If ever a project had the right address, it is Mukai, which encompasses Lower Roan Subgroup rocks on the southern flank of the Kabompo Dome. It contains the same prospective stratigraphy as that hosting the Sentinel and Enterprise orebodies and our initial soil sampling has already identified a major copper-in-soil anomaly.”

Half yearly out, lots going on this summer. As we wait the results from the 1st hole."Drilling of the first hole is progressing well and has potential to deliver transformative results for the Company"

Kobolds unique approach to drill targets...

Kobold: "Instead of drilling where we already have high confidence in the resource definition, we strategically collect data from areas that will provide the most information, to help us decide where the next hole should go – and the one after that, and so on. It’s a sequential planning exercise. We’re applying techniques rooted in Decision Science – widely used in fields like aviation navigation – to guide our decision-making. We need to consider: How can we get the most information out of this dollar and this time so that we get the best possible understanding of the resource to support the development of a mine in the shortest time frame?"

Suppose you design a mine plan for one chunk of resource. In that case, you may discover that the mineralisation is actually much better two kilometres away, and your mine plan is no good anymore. You will have designed a very suboptimal mine because your shaft is in the wrong place. Or, if you’re wrong about the boundaries of the resource, you might miss out on something really valuable. False negatives can be very expensive. That’s one of the reasons that an aggressive exploration program here is so important: we need to know where the deposit’s centre of mass is."

The indications so far seem to indicate, results will be good.

On our current drill, if results are very good then 1.5/2p. On all projects over 12 months around 8p. Although I suspect if everything goes to plan, we will be bought out.

Barnaby5, yes all projects over the next 12 months. I think 5p is easily possibly, maybe 10p plus if taken over. What do you think?.

Given Kobolds Uber bullish $150m backing I don't think viability is a concern for us investors?

Infrastructure to reduce transport / rail cost on track too

Re Counts posted article 2023 (ta), obviously comes down to economic viability. copper has been on quite a run since then. I'm not sure about costs?

Kobold certainly liked their 2023 number crunching. And evidently still do.

Q: "How confident are you that Mingomba is an ‘economically viable reserve’ with the quantity and quality of minerals that will justify the investment necessary to develop it into a mine?"

Kobold: "Our confidence that Mingomba is an economically viable project is reflected in our enthusiasm to make a substantial investment [$150 million]."

5p plus highrisk. Is this possible on ongoing drill or are you placing this share price on all projects over 12 months. Sorry not sure what you meant.

If they hit mineralisation my expectations are the same :-)

....and I'd expect them to start the second drill straight after

Article from last year, but gives insights into the drilling. Drilling is difficult and complex, especially at depth.

By the way, if they hit mineralisation my expectations here are for a rise in the many 100s of %.

Drilling underway 16th Apr and depth of 1,023m reported 21st May so ~30m per day.
Estimates that drilling of KWDD001 will continue until mid-June 2024 suggest a target depth of 1,800m in 60 days.

KoBold is committed to drilling at least two deep drill holes (for a total of at least 2,000m of drilling) at Konkola West.

TERTIARY MINERALS PLC - Investor Presentation

Additionally, if you missed my post from yesterday this is a very helpful article.

$2 Billion Copper Mine in the Lobito Corridor Could be the Largest "Discovery" in 100 Years in Zambia

KoBold;

"The ore bodies at Mingomba are around 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) below the surface making drilling holes and mine shafts time-consuming and expensive. In the best case scenarios, it takes three months to construct one hole and it takes dozens of these to define one resource. KoBold has made progress in concluding some of this drilling and is why it is now seeking strategic and financial partners to take the mine development forward".
