24/12/2001 16:05 | News re Product Power 1. The time when warrants are exercised is irrelevant. 2. Warrants (not just Bruce Rowan's) roughly outnumber shares 3:1, so even if the price hits £1 and then the warrants are exercised the price will become 25p !! Why ? The same capitalisation, four times the shares! Fickena - and some OFEX shares go bust ! So be careful about what you buy on OFEX. | bigt20
24/12/2001 11:27 | Sham 2001, Great to see at least 3 of my holdings on your list, one has to pay off, and Renegade Master how can you call these companies crummy half penny shares, QXL and JUS are crummy half penny shares! Ten Baggers: MLB, NMT, AZM OFEX Product Power - Russian Development (as mentioned above, almost doubled in one month) Four Baggers: OXB, MONI, RED, JUS, TRK OFEX: Sprue Aegis - New type fire alarms Sunblush - Life extension technology for fresh produce And one for a potential 20 bagger is African Lakes Corporation (But I would not touch it with a barge pole!!!!) All these are IMHO etc and if you are like Renegade Master I would suggest RBOS as a safe bet for 2002. | fickena
24/12/2001 10:54 | Hyper.....I am a big OXB fan, but I am wary of PRM....Low cash balance indicates an inability to raise funds in tough markets IMO and I nver like to pin too much hope on a spin off (intronn) that has a supposed value X..... | news
24/12/2001 10:50 | The only company I can see as a 10 bagger is PRM. Do your research and read the PRM thread for full details. 50% of my portfolio is PRM! | hyper al

24/12/2001 10:27 | Big 20; Re Product Power, I know about the warrents but have been assured that they are unlikely to be exercised in the early part of the company's life. Bruce Rowan will look for a large fundraising to beef up the market cap before quietly exercising a few at a time...With the sorts of margins/profits/oppo So, even if the shares hit £1 and BR converts ALL the warrants (it'll never happen!) it would give a market cap of only £25m. CURRENT PRICE 22P!!....up a penny today so far...only downside is the illiquidity and small free float..OFEX is very short of stock as they're so tightly held, so the price moves very quickly. | news
24/12/2001 00:48 | Walescg, I agree with you that in 2-3 years MMD should prove to be much more than 10 bagger. If it takes off the same way as PCs for IBM, laptops for Dell, mobiles for Nokia, software for Microsoft and digiboxes for Pace then the company could be valued at £1-2bln i.e. a 25 or 50-bagger from 40p starting price. Once videophones become a 'must have' in 5 years or so then a valuation similar to Nokia (ie £80 bln) wouldn't be unjustified. Remember, Nokia was a lumberjacking company valued at a couple of million 20 years ago before it bought out a small electronics company... The question was 10-baggers for 2002. I think it unlikely that MMD will be £8 by next Christmas (ie. a 20-bagger), these new technologies become accepted at a glacial rate usually but...you never know! Fingers crossed that future newsflow will create what chartists call a 'breakout' and cause all the shorts to be squeeezed out as well as panic buying! If Durlacher can go from 2.5p to £39 (and back again!) on hot air alone then surely massive orders for tangible products should push MMD much higher than its current price? | mi££ions
24/12/2001 00:22 | mi££ions i'm with you on mmd much more than a ten bagger though i feel | walescg

24/12/2001 00:03 | My tip would definitely be Pan Andean Resources. 2001 was not there year but in 2002 the El Dorado deal will be finalised and it is very aptly named for this company. Recent quote: - In my conversation with Horgan, he is rather more confident than the statement implies that we are on the verge of something big. A deal will be done and he seems to believe that it could be signed off really very soon indeed. Fairly late stage negotiations are ongoing as I write. As soon as it is signed then Pan/Pan American will start drilling - they are already talking to rig owners. And so El Dorado, which is right on top of existing pipelines could be onstream really very quickly. Bottom of trading range as MuttsNuts says and will be the share of 2002. | suspendors
23/12/2001 21:09 | Don't want to brag but I had a 21 2/3 bagger, and all in less than six weeks. Bought some EIC at 3/8p and sold some at 8 1/8p. More by luck than judgement I might add. Can anyone beat that? tiltonboy | tiltonboy
23/12/2001 20:50 | Anyone got a list of 2001 ten-baggers? Must be a short list. | tyranosaurus
23/12/2001 20:19 | I like the look of Retail Decisions (RTD), Medical Solutions (MLS), New Medical Technology (NMT), Pacific Media (PCM), Recall on OFEX. RTD, MLS and NMT I have invested in over the last 18 months or so and made a few quid and still like the look of all three companies. My favourite is NMT and current holding 180,000 after the lastest placing, plan to sell 80,000 @ 15p and then let the rest Run 4 Free!!!!! RTD I feel will always benefit because of Credit Card fraud and offers good buying opportunity. MLS I like although Trevor Twose's comment about not owning shares on Bloomberg TV was a bit of a foor in the mouth situation...and I think he needs to buy slightly more than 50000 shares to convince people now is a good time to invest, but over the next year I would expect his holding to increase substantially. PCM I need to do a ten bagger just to break even :((((((((( Recall I don't much about but feel that once the dust has settled on the court action that we could see a bounce next year. There is always Marconi, Energis, Thus, fun trading stocks but could be due a bounce in january. Rob | robfitz
23/12/2001 20:10 | Five bagger maybe Four bagger hopefully Like the stopped clock has to be right sometime betweeen now and say 2007! Torotrak .... | alchemy
23/12/2001 19:59 | First pick the sector. Forget Macroeconomics or pinpoint stock-picking. Voice over Internet Protocol is still rated one of the fastest growth areas available. The largest VOIP wholesale Carrier in the World is ITXC available on Nasdaq Plenty of cash, profitability forecast in 2002. Relations with most major Carriers. Gets my vote But very volatile so do your own research thoroughly please | jhan66

23/12/2001 15:32 | European diamonds EPD could be a lot better than a 10 bagger or bust ar anywhere in between by this time next year. I have a small holding so obviously I think it has a good chance. WLK is another possibliity which I hold - it has little downside risk. | this_is_me
23/12/2001 15:15 | Recall - did BAE get the better part of the deal ? | bigt20 |
