Is it fear of the Brooks Macdonald overhang? Kestrel have technical leeway to take it off them (being 3% below the 30% threshold while B-M only hold ~1.6%). That could work wonders for the share price and also the value of Kestrel's holding. However, two potential snags, (1) they may not have the cash on hand and (2) they may be debarred from dealing due to their 'inside' connexion. |
This doesn’t feel like the market believes it’s getting taken out at 125p let alone an uplift on the offer. |
PULSAR may be next once it has turned a corner. |
I have a sneeky feeling this will go private and Kestrel maintain a holding in the private entity. Similar to the IQGEO outcome. Investors given choice of cash and shares. The shares no use unless held outside of SIPP or ISA so most go cash anyway.
Just my 2c. |
Brooks Macdonald have about 4.5M shares which they possibly intend to sell. At the current rate of progress this will take a long time. It will also help keep the price depressed to make any offer from Verdane look more generous in comparive terms. Not a good wicket to be batting on. |
Interesting timing on trading update today, seems to be positive for the future whatever that means. |
If the bidder decides to bid for the company I think that it will sweeten the deal by increasing the offer price by another 10-15% of the previous offer price of 125 p. That will take the share price to 137 p - 143 p level. |
I think so too and if that happens there will be a big shift upwards in price. A downshift if it doesn't that will throw up a decent buying opportunity too as some speculators stops are taken out as it falls back. |
It is a decent set of trading results. I think the bidder will bid for the company, and the directors want to do a deal. |
140-145p offer potential? |
TU, search is the drag. Action against sellers of Shinez. Otherwise decent. |
Extension to 4th March. "made material progress" |
Rule 2.6 deadline: 17:00 04-Feb-2025 - either announce a firm intention to make an offer for Team Internet in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Takeover Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for Team Internet.
It's also possible that TIG could apply for an extension. |
Isn't the deadline 5pm tomorrow if a bid is to be made officially? A decline in the share price over the few trading days doesn't bode well. Fingers crossed for all shareholders...... |
I think a deal will be done for the company to be taken over. The company directors realise that the share price will sink if they don't agree a deal at 125 p or above. |
Might get some news early next week? A monday release would be interesting and catch a few off-side. Wishful thinking. |
I think they are eeking out more cash and a price >125p likely. The 125p may have been pitched on the basis of what the buyer knew as an outsider.
If they sign some non-disclosure they may be shown the "secret" stuff for the future in order to be encouraged to reappraise their offer to something higher based on info that is not in the public domain.
Just my 2c. |
I suppose the thought is that since the remaining bidder has not pulled out by now then they are probably more serious, hence a 125p bid more likely. |
Does look promising. |
boad not clear please expand |
It looks like the steady buy-back may be exhausting the ready sellers. |
Have we see the walk back finish? TBD but interesting to see the price at close although volume not high. Sellers may now be out. |
Just noticed the 119.20 this week closed the gap on the 3rd Nov 2024 gap down that closed at 119.20 before the gap. |
diesel - Not quite so. The acquisition of Shinez was announced on 19th March 2024 and completed on 29th April. The Kestrel purchase was on 15th August. But at that time it was still assumed that Shinez was a good acquisition and the difficulties were announced later. |
