have not yet tried the branch in highgate nor seen the trading statement. the price shows a severe case of droop. perhaps it needs viagra to raise it a bit

poor set of results --

one new restaurant opened in first 6 months and 2 more anticipated by year end (calendar).

only restaurant outside south east is nottingham and that is not doing well -- so roll out nationally could (and probably will be an issue)

this is certainly no ask or prezzo or pizza express nor a wagamama

looks like the kaye's may have some dim-sum on their ....

It may have little to do with standards and a lot to do with the economic outlook. Which is outside of the managements control.

Current spread 110-127. No wonder no one buying at present.

Shares still going southwards. Like haroldthegreat points out, surely family pedigree will not tolerate such low standards as reputation at stake.

At last we have something happening on their web-site, albeit just a pleasing picture.

if thats the case this is going to be a short lived venture. i am surprised given the family pedigree in catering that the allow such sloppy presentation/quality
you can supply poor quality food only once to a customer , there are loads of opposition out there and a bad reputation spreads.
i will watch but will not invest

my previous post did say (euphamistically ! and in a typically welsh understated way !) very very average ---- maybe one needs to call a spade a spade as master gill has done

this is why i asked if anyone had been there. one should not buy a share without trying the product.
i also dont like the idea of directors buying a site and selling it to the company.

tiredoldbroker - well spotted. Hope Tatsy plc management act on this wake up call immediately. Share price has gone southwards today. No surprise given the dire review.

Crushingly bad review in The Times today, at (though you have to plough through several irrelevant paragraphs to get to the bit about Dim-T).

I particularly liked "The nicest thing you could say about the dim sum is that it was what you imagine dog food would be like if it was stuffed into wet Wonder Bread and steamed until it gave up".

anyone tried the food? was it good, and good value for money? likely to encourage return visits?

bigboyo - beg to differ. Have probably spotted some good sites and need to move quickly. Right issue or underwritten placing would have cost more money and in case of first option would have taken longer. On balance pleased they have raised monies in way they have.

bigboyo - not a rights issue (bet lots of existing shareholders wish it was) but a placing which the Company indicates that it has received informal commitments for all the New Shares and hopes to announce this at AGM on 25/05/2007. Share price now holding at about 150-160p level which seems to indicate news well received. Once again the chosen few benefit by being able to buy at 110p. I hope they spend a bit of the money raised on completing their web-site, or at the very least up-date it to indicate which outlets are currently open.

deeply discounted rights issue --- not a good sign or easy money for some ??

i have got a good idea , find an empty site with no or little premium, buy it ,then inflate the price and sell it to a company that i am a director of.
what do you think of this idea? or should the directors appoint agents to find sites that the directors do not have an interest in?
