ok Cat, but if you take the 0.4 million for the first four months and work out some figures on a full year rate things look fine, if we get some further growth on the average monthly OP, which should be expected, then it will be very interesting.

The coming interims are the key, and that will allow many people to either join in SNX or pass them over, so it really all just waits for some figures to number crunch on and an outlook statement to read.

But then ;

" the prospects for the company look exciting and it has established a strong position in the sector, having worked with the majority of the 20 largest global pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca and Novartis, as well as many of the largest Contract Research Organisations including Quintiles, Icon, PPD and MDS. It is encouraging that Synexus is not going to be reliant upon the UK market, but is looking to expand in the emerging clinical trials market internationally. The company has a good management team, and recorded an operating profit of £0.4 million in the first four months of the current financial year."

there was only probably one large client. That client could disappear tomorrow and then ouch, you get fried to a cinder.

But it looks like Synexus are doing very well;

"For the year ended 31st March 2005, Synexus had turnover of £9.7 million, up from £6.4 million in the year ended March 2004. In the first four months of the current financial year, it has recorded an operating profit of £0.4 million, and due to the long term nature of its contracts, there is a strong visibility of earnings"

Interims are due, so we can take a look over them and see what is going on, is it a bull case, or not ? The interims will reveal all.

UK clinical research is under the cosh - it might have been worth £150m per annum at one point but much is moving fast to large full service CROs especially to those that can offer genuine Eastern European access (not just an affiliation or an office address). So the bleed is on. And in any event, the biggest competitor for this company is the GP network of independant clinical researchers who collectively make up most of the UK market this company has been trying to crack for the last 10-15 years. Check out its revenue growth this last 10 years. Its not been going anywhere fast.
business is very lumpy and prone to huge variation if even one pharma company pulls its study. This can happen for unforseen reasons in today's tightly controlled ( and rightly so) clinical research world.

Cat, any share can bite you on the bum, no signs of that yet on SNX , where is your information from ? Do you have links to it, what is your information that can give real facts as to why we should be very careful ?

I do like some negative or careful posts, but please back it up with some real hard information we can all do some research on.

PapalPower,

Thanks. I have a good vibe about this one as I did with EME which I bought on Friday. Hope this one too will come good soon. Cheers.

Yes, it looks confirmed that end of full year is 31st March and end of half year is 30th Sept, so we are due interims any day now, which is what I thought (just some site had got a different date which suddenly confused me)

Got in these today - very difficult to get any shares in blocks of more than 10,000. Should be good news on the horizon IMHO etc.

10K buy at 93p. This was the same yesterday, anything over 3 times the NMS (NMS is 2000) is getting up to 2p to 3p over the offer price.

The MM's seem reluctant to let stock go, and want a premium for it. Good signs.

We should be due a set of interims anytime soon, like today even, and these will set the course for the share price in the coming months. A good set of interims and this has the ability to significantly move higher in the months ahead.

Interims this week anyone think ?

It appears like anything over 3 times NMS is subject to a price well over the offer.

Do you have the on line limits roodboy ?

A little movement again, will it finish strong into the closing period ?

Could be a pointer.

roodboy it looks a nice little play here, given the rise today just keep an eye out for any news, rumours in the press or another strong buying wave, that will be the key to say there is more to come.

ICN was listed and then taken over at a much higher price, it would be nice if it happened again !

Calmed down for now, which means it should be some good news coming soon, as the action of this morning is generally the first sign of a deal becoming known to more that just insiders. Hopefully not long to wait until we get an RNS with some news.

Was on my watchlist but was hoping for a dip, did not happen but got in at mid 70's as it started to move.

Was sure to be a good one, and the sudden buying today should point to some news soon.

Will be keeping a close watch on events.
