08/6/2020 19:44 | Second wave ?! On Sunday, Florida's cases surpassed 1,000 for the fifth day in a row, bringing the state's total close to 64,000 known infections. Daily cases have not been reported at this level in Florida since April, when the virus was at its peak. But the percentage of positive Covid-19 tests has declined over the same period, suggesting the rise may be linked to increased testing. There have been more than one million tests administered in the southern state thus far. Texas, too, has seen a rise in reported cases in recent days. After a steady decline beginning in May, cases have moved in an upward trend since around 26 May, about three weeks after retail stores and restaurants were able to open, with limited capacity. There have been at least 75,408 cases in Texas confirmed so far. | idontflykathyy | |
