Also , SNG001 will be applicable to future SARS type pandemics. So it’s needed here and now. But governments may well stockpile

Massive masssive upside here IMO

That what I can't understand, covid really started hitting hard 6-8weeks ago, yet Oxford have already got a vaccine in trial. How could they possibly have developed in in around 4weeks when every day we see suggestions that a vaccine could take 12-18months to develop?Don't get it ???

Agreed. It's a tough one, I want my investments to flourish but I also want our country to pull through. Something off about making fat stacks while our fellow countryman suffer. Whatever the outcome I hope it's achieved soon.

Here's my take on the situation. I think that in hospitals SNG has been shown to really help. Hence the confidence from Richard. I also think that Doctors will also be using other drugs to further still improve the situation and speed of improvement with patients in hospital. Chris Whitty mentioned using drugs combo earlier in the daily announcements.I also think SNG are very confident that they have another route to market due to the flexibility of how the drug can be delivered in an out of hospital situation and at home. If they capture this market then they will be one of the 1st go to solutions before other drugs along with SNG001 in hospital settings need to be used at all . A clever and market savvy move and solution to keep people out of hospital . Imho

To me, "at home" use is where SNG001 sits perfectly in first strike use. Excellent news that this can be trialled here and in the timeframe window and candidates that SNG wanted. Hospital trials were needed first, not least to assess safety in CV patients and not really possible to take blood or sputum samples in home trials.

A person could ring 111 /GP when they start to feel unwell, get a phone provisonal diagnosis and if their Mhistory /age etc puts them in "at risk" group, they are sent out / pick up a quick CV test ( fingers crossed soon ) for "at home" use. If positive, they then start immediate use of SNG001 via further phone /other links provided either by delivery or collection. They are then monitored remotely as in the trials.
This could possibly prevent a large % of the hospital admissions....it would also address spreading the virus ( or any other )anywhere by keeping more therapeutic intervention at home.

Remdesivir or ANother to fight more serious /overwhelming viral load

Vaccine later for general use as per normal risk groups

This process might also be used ( via the current testing unit they use, to test for other viral LRTI ) at primary care centres ( data says the 2nd highest reason for hospital admissions ( unplanned) in England ) if its proven effective for these infections in COPD etc too. Early trial results were very promising.

Hi Nobby, are you saying that this no longer becomes a binary outcome because they have now graduated to a home based trial, suggesting the hospital trial must be showing positive results? If so, and if successful, it looks like SNG may be providing their pumps to all Covid higher risk sufferers as a preventative measure and to all other COVID patients showing breathing issues.

Nobby, I believe we are as confident as any II investor could be at this point in time. from a market perspective the challenge is The usual Lansdowne investment approach. Basically they create a spiral downward as they always, do sell into the rise etc. Do you or anyone know what they normally based upon there risk profile?

So to expand on my first point, this means that the downside is more limited than it would have been otherwise. So investing here is not as risky as it was this morning LMHO.

So probably the major consequence of today's announcement is that we no longer have a binary outcome from the SG016 trial. Clearly the home dosing trial will report after the hospital study and could well be positive if the latter isn't. And if you think about home dosing, the potential number of patients is massively increased. In my opinion it is an extremely shrewd move to do a separate study in these patients.

So on balance really excellent news today and well done to Richard and the team!

People need a mindset change, But yes thanks for pointing out I was wrong for today's close. I'm not at all happy about the dip down. Another day closer.
