Surely we'd not only pitch for this but secure funding?Posted by Oxford12 on LSE-Phase 3 prophylaxis trial?Today 16:01I wonder if this is part of the puzzle...I was researching NIHR trying to understand what the priority / urgent public heath status actually gave us as RM was very clear about this in the RNS. They will obviously whisk us through the ethics process of the trial, like they did in phase 2 (case study on the NIHR website), but could it be more? I found funding to set up a prophylaxis trial in UK care homes, funded by the Gov. it seems to be like recovery but for earlier in the illness and targeted at older, higher risk people. At the moment the NIHR have just opened a tender process for a research org to deliver the trials and a panel to decide which drugs are tested. Closing date is November and they stress rapid set up and delivery. Can you think of a better drug to take part in this trial?? This may be our phase 3 at home trial....https://www.nihr.ac.uk/covid-19/funding-prophylaxis-research.htm
