Robert, you are the one mithering about the detail. Try seeing the bigger picture here for a change.
A strong brand is emerging here and that is far more important than the minutiae you drone on about

Mattjos, not negative.....realistic. Having looked at the WHOPES website there are a lot of areas that need a lot of attention which I am sure the company have taken. It is interesting that people like you have blinkers.....I am extremely happy the share price is rising and I do hope that the recent conference takes the company forward. So Mattjos, please take a hike.

Great news share price is rising.
Two concerns regarding (1)Anti Mosquito and insecticide additive there are a number of these already in the market place, in order to sell the product must have World Health Organisation (WHOPES)approval? (2) Anti Fungal additive for bread bags etc must also have EU Approval as a food ingredient not just food contact. I trust the above products have these approvals, otherwise it will be sometime till a positive step to improving bottom line figures. Maybe the board would like to comment on these important points.

will be interesting to hear if they give us an 'orders received' type news item after the conference. It's a decent undertaking to host such an event and should trigger some business from distributors

LONDON (Alliance News) - Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC said Monday that it will launch new and synergistic products within its anti-bacterial brand at its fourth global conference.
The new products include an anti-mosquito and insecticide for sale in Africa, Asia and Latin America. It will also announce the expansion of its core products under its Symphony Environmental brand at the conference.
Finally, it will also present a newly formed company called Tyre Recycling Technologies Ltd at the conference, which it will have a minority shareholding in, and will license its tyre recycling technology to.
The company has completed the integration of its research and development testing facilities into one new facility in Borehamwood, which will provide a more efficient test and research and development process, it said.

Robert .. I am not a bank & have no wish to be. Borrowing from a single source is much easier to manage .. even more so given the linkage to the company.

The company continues, imo, to develop a stronger and stronger brand and to broaden its product range. The Anti-mosquito product could be a huge winner for them especially if you consider the number of people who still succumb to malaria every year.
slowly but surely they are widening the and deepening the moat that surrounds the company, thus locking out competition & helping to ensure defensible growth in the long term.
It's taking time but, they are on the right track. I would very much like to hear more about how well they are doing with winning large corporates on the anti-counterfeiting product offering.

Mattjos at the interest rates they are paying why don't the board ask the long suffering shareholders. I for one would offer a secured loan at 2% per month as I am sure you would.

chart is looking good on a longer term basis now. would not be surprised to see this back at 17p+ this year & over 30p next year. I'll take that.

I'd agree shrout .. they often have to briefly pullback to the breakout line before finally pulling away

Irrespective of the accusations re. the money being lent to the company as nepotism .. in the current climate it still seems a more sensible choice than dilution or bank debt. The company is lucky to have access to willing lenders in this fashion, as far as I'm concerned.

Good RNS today

Yes this does look like a breakout.. and it's often the case that "quiet" breakouts like this are the ones that are sustained. Any pull back to 9p or below may be a good buying op. Then it's next stop 17p!! (maybe)

AGM Statement

At the Annual General Meeting of the Company, held today, Nirj Deva DL, FRSA, MEP, Chairman of the Company, made the following statement:

On the 25 March 2014 we announced that in 2013 the Group saw a significant increase in revenues of 46% compared to 2012, resulting in a small EBITDA loss on recurring business of GBP10,000 for 2013. This compared extremely well with a GBP2 million EBITDA loss in 2012. The key factor is that the plastics division of the Company achieved an EBITDA profit of GBP220,000 in 2013 compared with a loss of GBP1.75 million the year before.

We also announced that with improved performance we continued to invest into broadening the product range for the three main sectors of our business, environmental (d2w), health and hygiene (d2p), and anti-counterfeiting (d2t). With our distribution network covering over 90 countries we are well placed to exploit the opportunities which we have created.

There were legislation changes that should positively impact on d2w revenues and we are also winning business on the basis of CSR values. Trials and negotiations continue to grow with our d2w d2p and d2t ranges, some of them with very large companies.

We also announced the commercialisation strategy for the tyre recycling division which continues to develop, with further announcements expected in the months to come.

We await regulatory approval for d2p in food packaging applications and we already have approvals for non food-packaging and other non food applications.
I am also pleased to advise that the management team and the technical team are developing exciting new formulations and IP with a focus on expanding the product range into agricultural, retail and chemical sectors.

In the 25th March announcement we advised of a new contract award from a major supermarket group for d2w, and that sales volumes were expected to be significant, but not verified, and with deliveries expected to commence in April. I am pleased to confirm that deliveries have started with the expectation of a full roll-out in the second half.

Since my last announcement, I am pleased to confirm that we have signed a product development agreement with a world leading brand, and are in negotiations with others for d2w and d2p. In addition, we have completed successful trials on new applications for the d2w and d2p technologies.
We look forward to a successful year ahead.

Unfortunately I'm in Manchester on Friday on business but would have liked to attend to see what is said about current trading etc. AGM's are a good place to ask the directors what is going on in more detail than they would normally publish.
