There seems to be an increasing feeling that the rise in palladium and platinum isn't cyclical but structural. SLP should simply be much higher imo.

Yes some big tailwinds here now. Bloomberg had a little featue on Pd being up 8% today.

I particularly liked the bit where they said that if it gets too expensive the catalytic industry would start looking at the next best alternative...Pt.

Either ways SLP has got winner written all over it.

PGM Basket now up around 24% in ZAR this year, which would deliver almost 50% increase in EBITDA going forward, all other things being equal. Surely this overhang has to clear soon with these figures?

Platinum spot price presently breaking out, currently touching $1020/oz. That's an increase of more than $50/oz in the last 24 hours!

Well Plat Hunter just to update you.I had a small holding in Lonmin.Just let the conversion happen to Sibanye Stillwater. We witnessed a small rise when the High court in London gave the thumbs up to the take over of Lomnin. But what happened to to Sibanye Stillwater Afterwards I havnt seen before. Now my holding is over 130 % up.I was tempted to buy more but I couldnt find a dealer to buy on the JSE. ( although ii will sell )So I can only think all the issues holding back Lonmin aka. Labour relations are resolved .(Plus the rise of Platinum. )

I held Lonmin following the final placing and traded it, up until the merger. I never actually took and sibanye shares though, i was well out of it with a couple weeks to go.

LSE was a pretty reliable board for Lonmin though, the forum over there was kept alive by a few weathered stalwarts.

What a problem for a business to have! No debt, a cash pile, and more cash to come...
Who would want to invest in a company with a problem like that???
