07/10/2010 11:36 | as this stock does have a reasonable volume , MM spread should be less I would have thought . Stops me trading it here and holding stock in OZ ! | arja
07/10/2010 11:04 | contrarian2, take your point but my pet hate is MMs having lived in OZ most of my life and there has never been MMs there except in warrant trading . They should be confined to the dustbin of history and all stocks be SETS but LSE have a "jobs for the boys" mentality I guess ! i hold SLV on OZ market and I hope you are right about the target price ! good luck . | arja
07/10/2010 10:35 | My 65p getting closer thank god!! DC | daicaprice
07/10/2010 10:34 | I think we should be happy its breaking in to a new range and leaving the 40's behind. Going to be a busy qtr for SLV with imo a stream of postive news flow. Not long to wait until Lannex is on line but the company is gearing up for change IMO. | abudhabitrader
07/10/2010 10:27 | arja, Don't worry about the spread, it will decrease as volumes increase as and when we have a flurry of positive newsflow. Which we will be forthcoming. Most peers are up over 50% from their July lows, so SLV has slightly underperformed. I am therefore waiting for it to catch up, which should see it head towards 68.875p in due course. Followed by new highs in 2011. c2i | contrarian2investor

05/10/2010 08:12 | Good Morning Kooba, I'm aware of that, however, the listing I think will be an IPO to main listing FTSE, not aim, and this does not exclude an RTO into SLV either as you've kindly pointed out. Your comment about nil premium wouldn't be beneficial to SLV shareholders purely because it would impact on pricing, yes subject to valuation, but likewise, not in SLV's current shareholders interests (except SamancorCr lol) although, as I said, it's not beyond the realms of reasons. All hypothetical, but now without its positives or negatives eithers. Many thanks, ATB Fraser | fjp73
05/10/2010 08:00 | Audly bought another million! | pomp circumstance
05/10/2010 07:36 | reverse takeovers are a method of a private company achieving a listing by being acquired by a normally smaller quoted company, whether such a deal would be attractive to slv shareholders would depend on the relative valuations of the two companies and the synergistic benefits that could be gained. | kooba
05/10/2010 07:20 | Good Morning, Harmonics, there's sometimes a natural end for Directors, particularly if new projects are coming online that will require more of their time. If you follow the ASX, this is more than likely. I think time will tell and it's in the current Directors interest to allow SLV to move forward in my view. SLV cannot justify the addition of further directors without others first leaving, as alluded to in the presentation SamancorCr are nominating to the board and evidenced so far with the previous BEE departing, although as positive as it was on "good terms!" Kooba an RTO (Reverse Take Over) wouldn't be voted on as it would dilute the existing SLV'ers control on the company. If there were terms favourable to the SLV existing shareholders I cannot categorically say no but it's less likely as RTO's are generally where both parties are listed, but not exclusively. Audley increasing, decreasing, increasing decreasing, bloody yoyo lmao ATB Fraser | fjp73
05/10/2010 07:00 | why not slv be used as a vehicle to acquire samancor...a reverse.samancor get listing and benefits of merger slv look big and gradually the management team is replaced..same end without big initial premium. | kooba
05/10/2010 06:56 | Mr Fraser Won't there be some resistance to management capitulation by SLV? Will founding board directors of Syvania welcome such an outcome? | harmonics
04/10/2010 21:23 | Good Evening Harmonics, I envisage the Australian office disappearing as well .If I was at the helm, the connection now has to be JSE and AIM. So there could in the short-term be a sell off from ASX traders, although admittedly, most have been hoovered up already. Things I suspect will be moving forward fast, perhaps Samancor listing AIM/JSE and then giving SLV some paper for the rest of their holding. Or acquiring SLV pre-listing and offering cash. With due respect the model is rather simplistic, I suspect that's why I understand it being simple :-) lol. So, in layman's terms, for me as it's a lot easier; SLV I believe will change quite a few of the founding or long-term Directors as the company goes into a transformational stage, which will require a different type of management. Have a good evening, ATB Fraser | fjp73 |
