22/9/2010 14:12 | Yes Mr Fraser, I guess we could call it latent potential and I see plenty of that in SLV @ 50p | harmonics
22/9/2010 13:17 | Good Afternoon Harmonics - Valid point in a way, but I don't subscribe to SLV knowing the number of long-holders whom have seen the value for a long time. The down side is one specific shareholder but you cannot have it all. Sleeper? Perhaps but aren't all companies in terms of news? Valid points ATB Fraser | fjp73
22/9/2010 12:58 | If we the PIs can easily see the upside potential here then the city should also be able to see it! I reckon that the city have to churn their funds, so, although they can see an upside potential they won't move without news. Now suppose that the city have some advanced information prior to an RNS (probably illegal but can also be known as a 'rumour') then why would they want to invest in what they see as a 'sleeper' without any new news? News of increased revenue or some prospective buy out will send SLV north but for us PIs we need to be in before the RNS because low stock and rip off spreads will be the order of the day at that point. Anyway just my thoughts. | harmonics
20/9/2010 09:51 | Hi Bones - never seen that chart before! Turbotrader 50p | harmonics
20/9/2010 08:39 | what did you pay for them? | turbotrader2
20/9/2010 08:37 | Well that is it I have just bought my last top up, I am now up to the neck in SLV and pretty confident that come crimble I will be in the blue buy some margin. | harmonics
20/9/2010 08:04 | this refuses to stay above 50p | turbotrader2
19/9/2010 11:30 | Chartwise, looks possibly set for a run up IMO. Certainly a rise on increased volume is encouraging, as is this break again above 50p. | chrisis33
19/9/2010 10:52 | was in here on the last big rise(seems a long time ago now),made a nice few quid.Haven't looked at this for a while, are we expecting news?I will have to read up. | fairenough11
19/9/2010 10:45 | I totally agree Cupra, I'm just a bore, but when do I get my Bacon sarnie, that's the point! Stick with the important things :-). Volume is definitely a welcome sign, but more importantly, the fact it's one buyer in my view, but to add balance Aughton believes it's two. So either way it should be good news! Perhaps the busier board will be the "oak smoked bacon sandwich with emmental cheese!" :-) ATB Fraser | fjp73
19/9/2010 10:38 | Good point Fraser with regards bb's can become busier if investors are losing but it also works the other way too when stocks are on the rise. Check the most popular threads tomorrow morning on the homepage and I'll bet an oak smoked bacon sandwich with emmental cheese that the the 'busier' ones are on the rise lol Chartwise it's quite a difficult one to read wih the thought of future direction. We've been range bound for the last few months (43-53p) so need to break out of that to determine the next move. Higher volume is a much welcome sign though. | cupra kid
19/9/2010 10:14 | Morning Once Again, Here's food for thought (See what I did there Cupra :-)) Please note the volumes and general direction. ATB Fraser | fjp73
19/9/2010 10:07 | Good Morning Cupra Kid - I did moderate myself lol...I don't rate shares by how busy the board is, generally they're only massively busy when people are at a loss. HAWK a prime example...Or ramped to death lol... SLV will shine and have it's day, it's just a slow one like me :-) ATB Fraser (strangely without a hangover :-)) | fjp73
19/9/2010 10:02 | This thread has been notoriously quiet in recent weeks so the fact that it's getting busier (albeit with some random food & drink chit chat) for me is a good sign that things are starting to turn. True value will out in the end | cupra kid
18/9/2010 23:23 | Created useless banter thread FJP :-)...so as to avoid clogging up threads...ATB Fraser | fjp73
18/9/2010 23:15 | Glenlivet in my glass tonight, so not moaning. | bones30
18/9/2010 23:07 | Bones - stop moaning and pour another drink lol. | fjp73
18/9/2010 22:58 | > Wife watching X factor and I can't stand it Lol I'm sure you ain't alone there! | bones30
18/9/2010 21:14 | Harmonics, I do the same, i drink tea and coffee at breakfast :-) I tend to keep a lid on it in between poruing to reduce evaporation :-). | fjp73
18/9/2010 21:05 | I started out with Bishops Finger (traditional strong English beer) but then move onto G&T Ha, Hendricks is for posh folk! Actually when I push the boat out I drink Bombay Saphire but for now it's Sainsbuy's own brand. I sound really bad but ocasionally I have a word with myself and have a dry period where I don't drink at all (tea and coffee only) need to keep a lid on it! | harmonics
18/9/2010 20:50 | You're a gin man...ahhhhhhhhh Great minds, well I'm on wine first :-) please note I'm intending more lol. Hendricks! | fjp73
18/9/2010 20:49 | Mr Fraser I am drinking G&T whilst enjoying some free time. Wife watching X factor and I can't stand it Lol | harmonics |
