28/11/2023 15:33 | The Trust industry is experiencing lots of combinations. STS and TIGT seem a perfect fit. Don't hold either but will revisit STS when its larger. | mozy123
14/8/2022 15:43 | Indeed Troy track record also good during GFC which I think helped Seb win the PNL mandate. I've about 10% between STS and TIGT. Short term performance moderate but over time investing in 20% ROC companies will probably work out OK. | steve3sandal1
14/8/2022 13:27 | Hi Steve, it surprises me how quiet many of the boards are, has there been an apocalypse and we didn't notice? I'm currently an investor in another Troy fund PNL, its mix of Tech/Consumer/Medica | cynicalsteve
11/8/2022 14:19 | The quietest board. If anyone knows how to change the title to.. Say... Secs Trust Scotland.. It might attract some interest. This is one of my top 10 attracted by the portfolio and obviously Troy. | steve3sandal1
04/11/2021 23:31 | Now above pre-pandemic highs. One for the patient investors! | boozey
18/9/2020 08:49 | Yes up finally, the portfolio looks good, but price hasn't really moved up enough. Maybe Troy will help, but I'm not sure. | chc15
17/9/2020 15:47 | Delighted as it's gone up a bit! You are not totally alone..... but it is rather quiet on here. | mbu69
17/9/2020 15:09 | Well Troy it is, happy anyone? | chc15
23/12/2019 13:59 | Doing well, at premium, any thoughts | chc15
20/11/2019 23:42 | Seems to be ticking up v slowly, any thoughts out there.. | chc15
06/8/2019 11:31 | Just bought into this, decent performance this year, so hope it recovers... | chc15
29/6/2019 14:02 | Now 193.5, so improving. | pherrom
31/7/2018 12:42 | I have been accumulating a few of these lately. I have been looking to diversify out of the British stock market because of the twin threats of Brexit and Jeremy Corbyn and this fits the bill nicely. Only 15% of the portfolio is in Britain. This is also the only decent trust in the global equity income sector which is at a significant discount. I also think that a value investing approach to stock markets might do well in the next few years after a long period of underperformance. | biggest bill
29/6/2018 06:57 | A year ago these were £1.68. Today they are £1.68. Last 4 dividends 6.1p. Yield 3.6% A bit more than an instant access deposit account but one expects better. | pherrom

17/6/2015 13:41 | NEW INTERVIEW... Executive Interview: Securities Trust of Scotland - Securities Trust of Scotland (STS) seeks a combination of rising income and long-term capital growth from a concentrated (currently 46 stocks) global portfolio of mainly larger companies. Stocks are chosen for attributes including yield and dividend growth, financial strength and valuation. Recently the shares have moved to a discount to NAV, but a new policy to enhance the yield, together with the potential for better underlying performance, could see the shares re-rate to a level closer to peers. In this interview, the portfolio manager, Alan Porter, explains the rationale for recent additions to the portfolio and the change in the dividend policy. | speedsgh

16/6/2015 14:53 | Paying some of the dividend out of capital sounds a little too cannibalistic for me. | beardmore

31/12/2012 11:09 | STS is showing as "unknown stock" in my ADVFN portfolio. WHY, as it is still quoted in my monitor and intra day chart? | walthera |
