03/12/2018 20:22 | I wondered how long it would be before Porsche - the sky is falling down since - 1945 would post here. | minerve
03/12/2018 19:38 | Back to a quid, another Woodford winner. | porsche1945
03/12/2018 15:32 | I believe that people on this thread should be very careful. If you express disagreement with jonwig, a frequent poster on this thread, he will institute a search for your IP address. He has been boasting on the WPCT thread that he has discovered that the best poster on that thread posts from a very particular location. How else could he have found out other than by using a nefarious piece of software? I have been told that this particular piece of kit could also enable him to look up the skirts of female posters. I somehow doubt that because his salient characteristic seems to be his impotence. | chuckol
03/12/2018 15:05 | Out for me as stop loss triggered. Divi no longer a reason to hold. | fizzypop
03/12/2018 11:41 | Yes, no rush to add. | minerve
03/12/2018 11:28 | Agreed, john09. | sogoesit
03/12/2018 11:16 | Not sure how Stobart could afford to bid for Flybe a the moment. Reporting losses and most of the assets appear to have already been sold to pay for the huge dividends? | muchodinero
03/12/2018 10:29 | It does throw up opportunities I agree. That’s why I’m here. But not at £1.80... let it keep dropping. It’s going to | john09
03/12/2018 10:05 | Thanks for the feedback Minerve. I'm just looking, as they say ;-) I also have ESL on my watch list. PS. Maybe a "mess" but chaos throws up opportunities. | sogoesit
03/12/2018 09:55 | There is no reason to hold this right now . Certainly no reason to buy. What a mess. | john09
03/12/2018 09:54 | Sogoesit Just bear-in-mind that they are not cashflow positive ATM (as far as I remember) so it is still a case of asset sales supporting commitments and plenty of things still need to fall in place. There is still reasonable risk in otherwords. | minerve
03/12/2018 09:53 | rebasing the dividend at 1.5p per q, perhaps with a small additional q4 payment would imply 6p per annum or slightly more,so nearer a 2.75% yield not 8 or 9% going forward. I hold | bg23
03/12/2018 09:48 | So the yield is 8.5% approx. now and they have better investment opportunities for cash so the share price is down. Got it! | sogoesit
03/12/2018 09:48 | As previously posted, the dividends have been supported by asset sales. A level of growth has been assumed for the future which would replace the income from the asset sales overtime. It is no surprise that the dividend has been reduced. This should be seen as a positive rather than a negative. Eddie Stobart Logistics was the shareholding being sold to support the dividend and the current market turmoil and Brexit nonsense has affected Eddie Stobart Logistics share price Trading around 160p last year it is now trading around 115p. Eddie Stobart Logistics is seen to be affected by the possible issues with respect to cross-border trade, customs unions etc.. In reality, ESL has little cross-border trade that will affect it. I wouldn't sell any share ATM unless news directly affecting the share negatively was announced. I'm actually pleased Stobart have reduced the dividend in hope that it halts the sale of ESL shares temporarily until a better price can be achieved or something is going on with Flybe. Stobart is still a good growth story. Just take the executive board's target with a pinch of salt because they are aggressive and depend on many things falling into place. A good opportunity to add IMO and you are affectively getting Eddie Stobart Logistics cheaply too! IMO & DYOR | minerve
03/12/2018 09:25 | Bid for fly imminent??????? | markyt
03/12/2018 09:20 | salchow - management, yes. I can't work out who are the good guys, who the bad ones in that spat. Neither? | jonwig
03/12/2018 09:16 | In the interest of balance I should say that they do own an airport and if properly managed I don't see why this shouldn't be a good investment over time. Unfortunately the legal wranglings are likely to go on for some time and who knows what management they will finish up with. | salchow
03/12/2018 09:12 | It was always the case that dividends were being paid out of sale of company assets. This clearly could not continue forever but the theory was that once the company had increased its profits substantially they would be paid out of income. That always seemed a bit of a doubtful policy to me which would have been put in place by the former directors. You can, of course, read the description of Mr Tinkler's expenses and draw your own conclusions. I held these shares when they were about £1 and probably sold at a small profit but well before the big rise. Clearly I made a mistake in selling far too early but am now at least more satisfied that the conclusion I came to at the time was not totally misplaced! | salchow
03/12/2018 08:36 | Shareholders betrayed after making the dividend the reason for buying. I did ask last year when I looked at these if the dividend was sustainable until funded by profit ? This signals to me that it wasn't. | fenners66
03/12/2018 08:32 | I think they may be bidding for Flybe. Please do your own research. | qantas
03/12/2018 08:26 | Stobart trims dividend to divert capital to investment opportunities StockMarketWire.com London Southend airport owner Stobart Group said it had decided to cut its dividend after conducting a capital review. The fourth quarter dividend would be reduced to 1.5p per share, bringing dividends for the full financial year to 15p, down from 16.5p on-year. | fizzypop
03/12/2018 08:05 | Sensible adjustment. | bluemango
30/11/2018 23:51 | Those expenses are a shocker. He’s clearly guilty of that. But if they’ve withdrawn their claim then that’s that . Very odd | john09 |
