21/10/2022 11:07 | can you explain your 50p valuation ? ...since I don't see that pro rata from the acquisition. | smithie6
21/10/2022 10:30 | Based on their most recent own acquisition, this company is worth well north of 50p - with a very sound balance sheet and strong cash flow, the risk/reward is attractive. They could easily afford to pay 2-3p of dividend. | baner
21/10/2022 09:02 | 500 ! Well, it is usually illiquid. If want say £10k of shares then one often needs a seller in order to get that amount. But in any case the price is in a slow uptrend & many holders don't want to sell, in part since the cash per share is high, so smallish buy volumes can move the price up. | smithie6
21/10/2022 08:59 | Cannot even buy 2000 online now. | clocktower
21/10/2022 08:59 | Cannot even buy 500 online now. MM have locked it down it seems. | clocktower
19/10/2022 15:59 | nice to see the up trend from 23p to 27p +4p +17% wrt 23p be nice to see it jump back up more quickly but +17% is not too bad, especially if it keeps going. | smithie6
06/10/2022 14:26 | Stability is definitely needed to restore investor confidence but it doesn't look like STM are there yet. It appears that the Gibraltar business - pensions and insurance - has lost its third Chief Executive in as many years. Their website now shows the actuary as 'Interim Chief Executive'. Also NED resignations this year. Not signs of a happy ship. | rsymes6
03/10/2022 21:50 | ...also happy to see Therese back ..I just hope that the co. is not paying 1 year salary as a pay off to each FD if they aren't staying very long since it would be a big hit to the PAT. | smithie6
03/10/2022 09:17 | after all the changes in Board members and FD I am glad to see Therese Neish back as FD. Hopefully this will give us stability for 12 months. I feel that the challenges facing the board are to find Sipps to consolidate to increase the company's value(and a long term FD in place after TN has done her 12 months. The alternative should be to be taken over | camerongd53
14/9/2022 18:42 | Growth is not too bad when you adjust for the disposal in 2021 which weighs on the headline performance. And the inclusion of the Mercer business should see further growth in 2023. | pdosullivan
14/9/2022 18:37 | "Cost management and operating efficiencies remain key areas of focus for the Plc board." No growth. | russman
14/9/2022 13:30 | You could click on edit & correct the spelling error. | smithie6
14/9/2022 09:00 | Should be ”apply”, not ”Apple” of course | baner
14/9/2022 08:10 | STM is worth MUCH more as a take over candidate than as a small PLC. This was demonstrated by the price they paid for their recent acquisition! If the BOD Apple the same multipels on their own businesses, the shares are worth well north of 50p - potentially 70p. | baner
14/9/2022 07:29 | Maintenance of dividend is a positive and the report is a little better than I anticipated. | clocktower
24/8/2022 17:49 | say 4% of AUM. | russman
17/8/2022 11:04 | most of the assets I believe they don't manage them rather they safe hold them charging a fee to do so | smithie6
16/8/2022 17:28 | Presume you value as % of AUM. | russman
10/8/2022 10:44 | ...share price has bounced back a little | smithie6
04/8/2022 11:00 | Smithie6 - you ask what is going to change to get results in post 1277. Well in answer to that I would suggest one thing that is meant to do that, is the Acquisition of the SIPP a SSAS business from Mercer Ltd for £3.34 million, planned on 31.08.2022 - other acquisitions in this area could follow. Another thing is the replacement of Board Members and in particular the Chairman. A new Chairman can have such a positive effect and if in harmony with the CEO can really impact the business in a very positive manner. So once the detailed trading statement is presented soon after the completion of Premier Pensions, there maybe light at the end of the tunnel and the information may even attract new potential investors, as the share price has fallen so far, or a takeover. While you may view todays statement as negative, I see it as facing up to reality and the important thing stated in the RNS is: "However, the pipeline remains encouraging and therefore management believe that their 2022 overall profit expectations will be met." In light of this it is now oversold imo. | clocktower
04/8/2022 10:55 | Shocking indeed. To lose one director (the new FD) may be regarded as misfortune, to lose two (the Senior NED) looks like carelessness, but to lose three (the Chairman) looks like ..insert your own disaster noun! It looks very like all these individuals saw the need to leave to protect their reputations. I see that Companies House shows Berryman resigned from both STMs Life Insurance companies in May so he's probably been planning to jump ship for a while but its rather sudden to do it before the AGM like this. The CEOs barbed comments about new directors suggest a disagreement on strategy but perhaps some deeper troubles exist. In most other firms the CEO as the apparent common denominator in all this would have been fired by now but as he owns such a chunk of the company you can see how that might be difficult. | lundun42
04/8/2022 08:25 | Disappointing. Did a small top-up based on the obvious (balance sheet) but also on Peter G's presence on the register and Alan Kentish's need to do a Rishi Sunak; "whatever it takes"! :- / | value hound
04/8/2022 08:14 | With regards to trading, the first half of the year has continued to be slower than anticipated largely because of new business revenues in the UK taking longer to materialise than predicted. So, one assumes that none of the possible sizeable deals was landed. :-( What are they going to change to get results ? | smithie6
04/8/2022 08:11 | well, if the co. can't start performing & soon (we have waited, & waited) then the shareholders will surely ask for the co. to be sold so we can get our investment back. And that would surely be at a notably higher price, hopefully ! | smithie6 |
