05/4/2019 11:10 | I hope it ends up as a bit higher than 300 - unfortunately most of my holding was bought closer to 400 than 300 :-( Obviously, I've had some dividends whilst holding - but no where near enough to put me in profit. Still - the trend over the past month is comforting. Cheers, PJ | pj fozzie
05/4/2019 10:48 | Looking at the long time graph, and taking in account the diminished business, the "natural" price would be around 300p. | chinese investor
05/4/2019 10:43 | Yes finally recovered to Break even and the Divi this month should put in in slight profit. The macro situation is improving with softer Brexit almost certain and Chiba trade talks giving positive vibs. I see this going back to 300p in next few months | tornado12
05/4/2019 08:04 | All Good ! | chinese investor
03/4/2019 07:05 | I have recently purchased Aviva , Phoenix and SLA as I see the div , cover and guaranteed income as reason for long term hold | snorky123
03/4/2019 06:10 | I must admit (quietly) that there is an improving trend but this is also following market as results from China and Brexit moving to noexit. However, it’s certainly got a good head of steam and with share BB starting up again it will hopefully support. The downside is by time they pay the Divi the share price will be 300p and my reinvestment, as usual, doesn’t hit the bottom price. But heyho, I’m pretty heavy in SLA and expect the 7% Divi to continue (+ maybe grow) in yrs to come. Happy to hold based on this alone | tornado12
02/4/2019 15:00 | Not a chartist but if I were, I’d be getting quite excited about the double bottom and momentum in the SLA chart. Looking very encouraging. Salty | saltaire111
01/4/2019 18:31 | "At the Company's General Meeting on 25 June 2018, shareholders approved the return of up to GBP1.75bn in aggregate to shareholders, subject to necessary regulatory approvals. This included a return of capital of GBP1bn via a B Share Scheme - which completed on 22 October 2018 - and a return of up to GBP750m via a share buyback programme (the "Programme"). On 20 November 2018 the Company announced the commencement of the second tranche of GBP200m of the Programme. This has now completed and resulted in the repurchase, and cancellation, of 79,518,804 ordinary shares in the Company's capital ("Shares") for a total consideration of GBP199,999,998. In total, the Company has now repurchased 138,205,193 ordinary shares for a total consideration of GBP375m and today announces that it will commence a further GBP175m tranche of the Programme. On 1 April 2019, the Company entered into a non-discretionary instruction with Citigroup Global Markets Limited ("Citi") in relation to the purchase by Citi, acting as principal, of Shares for an aggregate consideration of no greater than GBP175m. The purchase of Shares will take place during the period commencing on 1 April 2019 and ending no later than 12 July 2019." | chinese investor
01/4/2019 17:54 | New share repurchase programme starting today for nearly three and a half months. Buying averaging at the current price that would remove about 4% of shares currently in issue, if all the cash is deployed, raising EPS modestly (but not really improving Enterprise Value unless the shares are bought below a "fair" price). | edmundshaw

01/4/2019 10:14 | its the way of the world today, people expect bonuses for just doing the job they are paid to do.. | lippy4
01/4/2019 09:32 | What do they think a bonus is for? Do they expect bonuses for failure? They are not ALL CEOs (are they?). | edmundshaw
31/3/2019 09:43 | SLA employees complaining about their bonuses eh?Well put your head above the parapet and I'll tell it like it is! | fionascott1234
31/3/2019 07:08 | Eeza, thanks for article, don’t see how employees can complain. Company clearly struggling with AUM outage and revenue declines. Costs must be rallied in. You don’t get a good crop in a season of drought !Just hoping this year we see strong signs of green shoots. | tornado12
31/3/2019 07:02 | Snorky, my take is that SLA is a fair bet to recover and avoid divi reduction whilst increasing EPS over next 2-3 yrs. I don’t expect Stella performance after the last 2 yrs of poor results, but now they look like putting things right in AUM leakage, cost reduction and new business opportunities. If you want something less risky , with solid divi growth potential then I would go for LGEN. I’m in both and Aviva | tornado12
30/3/2019 05:21 | I have just purchased Phoenix and Aviva, now I am looking to purchase SLA for same reasons. Those being great div at 7% plus with good cover. Also a safe place to put funds in uncertain times with Brexit etc.If any of you guys have any thoughts please let me know. Cheers | snorky123

29/3/2019 13:00 | Steady Recovery ! | chinese investor
26/3/2019 17:06 | ...I am with the the tortoise, and not the hare! The former leads a steady course, and is well protected to enjoy a long life, whereas the latter tends to zig-zag all over the place and collapses in a heap...dividend is a winner with me at 14.3p....hurry, hurry while we are down close to support levels with the share price Good wishes.. | cyberian
26/3/2019 14:44 | Going nowhere fast by the looks of it 😕 | rathlindri
26/3/2019 13:13 | No buybacks this week? | ramellous
26/3/2019 11:48 | Definitely starting to feel as if it is turning the corner. | eeza
26/3/2019 10:59 | Again...the 14.3p divi going XD on 14th April beckons...seems like a good entry point for those of us that need revenue from dividends. Now with new Chairman Flint organizing events and with the other changes, and latest China JV the future prospects appear favourable imho. | cyberian
23/3/2019 21:12 | Just had a letter off Standard Life about my account to say they are reducing the platform charge. | ramellous |
