17/5/2006 15:12 | Thanks lard, CPI figures were higher than expected though, thus very significant re rates for June. So, for the mo I'll keep my short running. It's gone through 2 pivots now so will at least hold out for S3: 11289. | ![]() kozel
17/5/2006 15:10 | want the gap, then short. | tub of lard

17/5/2006 14:47 | Indeed. The bounce hasn't been forthcoming. I wrote this yesterday about the stocks I follow and already the bounces in the stocks I mention have tailed off today and seem unsustainable, it's still a bit early to tell for sure, but it doesn't look good for the bulls. Long term uptrend channels are now in serious danger of being broken on many stocks. I've already sold yesterdays buys on the dips: "Interestingly, despite the big retracements, most of the stocks I'm following have stopped at, or bounced off the bottom trendline of their uptrend channels, indicating that any short term bounce is likely to happen now. Technical indicators are also very oversold on most stocks as well, so I've been nibbling at a few. The strength and sustainability of bounces from these key technical levels should tell us much about the underlying sentiment now pervading in the market." | mad4it

17/5/2006 14:39 | Thanks kozel, I tend to see things the same way, though I'm not sure of the timing, because I don't trade the indices. ps: I'm developing a little crush on you. I hope that's ok! ;) | mad4it
17/5/2006 14:37 | I'm not short yet, waiting for a bit of a bounce first. | ![]() kozel
17/5/2006 14:36 | Hi, mad: I think there'll be a big drop on the dow today, maybe 11250 as a good target. Inflation figures are coming in higher than expected, & expect it'll drag all the other markets down with it. | ![]() kozel
17/5/2006 14:34 | mad, theres no way, blokes to far down the scale. he's another rabbit, just needs a good stewing, that would sort him out. | tub of lard

17/5/2006 14:30 | "prefer to befriend a dead goldfish." LOL! That really did make me laff, but I still think you should both put the aggro behind you, you've both got interesting thoughts to contribute, but they're lost in the endless bickering. Anyway, tubsy, any thoughts on my last few posts, how do you see the market now ? Or don't you care as long as there's volatility for trading ? Oops! The US is open. Answer later if you're trading. | mad4it
