12/1/2010 11:45 | It's like during the Dot.Com boom. The worse the results and the more money they could lose, The more the market liked the shares in Dot.Com companies and they went up on a bad update. The better the update was, They more they went down......!.......Go Crazy old game this share trading malarky.Who wants a great wee divi anyway. It's only money.....Jeez Aye, Moneybags | ![]() moneybags
12/1/2010 10:26 | me Im an accountant in my experience, the ceo is good at Sales and marketing and business development. The COO is usually a HR person. That's why the two roles usually exist. | alab1
12/1/2010 09:05 | I also wonder why a small co. requires both a chief executive and a chief operating officer, somewhere these two positions overlap, Martin Hall needs to step off the gravy train. | ![]() bookbroker
12/1/2010 09:04 | Because it missed the brokers forecast, it is a solid co. with a strong brand, but irrespective guidance has moved down, in part due to the reasons outlined in the statement. Despite these factors it is hoped that the internal adjustments to the way the business is operated will bring positive benefits in the future performance, I hope that Duff lives up to expectation, as I think that the management have been complacent. | ![]() bookbroker
12/1/2010 08:57 | I don't get why it's fallen 10.5%. This is clearly a good company. Profit taking? | alab1
12/1/2010 07:56 | The management do seem to be hostages to their fortune here, they need to be slightly more guarded when they open their big fat mouths, I hope Donal Duff has a handle on things here and his vision for the co. will be translated into an improvement in performance, I sometimes wonder if this co. really understands their customers. | ![]() bookbroker
12/1/2010 07:31 | Ah well, bad timimg there - but a miss looked priced in already surely on this valuation? CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
11/1/2010 19:03 | Yeah, interims a long time ago, current trading more prescient, statement from this co. in Jan. not the norm looking back, however as many more cos. beginning to at least report quarterly statements, it would be nice irrespective of size, that from an investors perspective and for transparency cos. would take up the baton. I am a holder, the brand speaks for itself, statements a little inconsistent in terms of trading, I am hoping nonetheless for a positive update, particularly with regard to the web side of business and perhaps more importantly this business of offering clients extended credit terms, with due regard to the supposedly improving business environment. | ![]() bookbroker
11/1/2010 18:05 | Tis why I bought in Moneybags :-) From the Interims: "* Strong sales to overseas clients as a direct result of our growing network of international sales agents, contributing sales in the period of GBP1.1m * Continued success from our e-marketing approach through the delivery of powerful sales copy to our e-mail database, contributing sales in the period of GBP0.9m * Excellent performance from auction activities with sales growth of 16% and increased profit contribution of 65%" "The current strength in our core rare stamp market, evident from recent auction realisations, together with a stronger start to trading in the second half to date, leads your Board to remain confident on the Company's ability to grow both sales and profits for the full financial year." | ![]() cockneyrebel
11/1/2010 17:11 | I see SGI brought out a trading statement on the 20th Jan last year (2009) so there might not be much time to wait until there next update. Regards , Moneybags | ![]() moneybags
11/1/2010 15:13 | We are both in then.Nice wee rise..........as the actress said to the bishop. Regards , Moneybags | ![]() moneybags

11/1/2010 14:21 | Just bought back in today - happy hunting ground and looks very cheap now imo. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
09/1/2010 10:26 | It would be a step in the right direction imo if they stopped writing shareholder reports as if they were brochures. Always makes me nervous as an investor when the management think they need to sell me the story. All we need are the facts. | ![]() jtcod
08/1/2010 19:09 | I like this co., but their problem is that they have a tendency to blow their own trumpet, as an investor I don't want to see a repeat of last year when trading statements fluctuated between promising and disheartening, they need to be more consistent, and these obscure credit arrangements need to be addressed as it creates unnecessary uncertainty. I like the development of the web side, but I see in a statement that a director was stating ' there are 40000+ collectors in the world, and on average they spend £200+ per annum'. That sounds like setting a large target, nothing wrong with that, but you have to be realistic against other huge online vendors. I am not sure about online autographs, certainly with living personalities. Saw one for sale of Frankie Dettori for £200, you could get that by going racing for the cost of a paddock badge circa. £25. I shall hold on for hopefully a positive statement later on this month. | ![]() bookbroker
08/1/2010 16:54 | I emailed the company recently to ask when we likely to get an update. They are currently preparing the results , but could not yet give me a date for release. | ![]() jeanesy

23/12/2009 16:05 | I imagine we will know more from the trading statement likely to be in January. Last years was released on 22nd. | ![]() riskblue
22/12/2009 22:48 | yes. i too have been waiting to find this out. i think if goes through it will see a boost, whilst if it does not then it will not affect the price as they get to pocket the deposit and keep the asset. | cyoung33
22/12/2009 20:39 | All is quiet here, when are we to expect news on the deferred revenue which was deferred until dec 31st? | ![]() jeanesy
