22/6/2010 07:30 | yep, the buys are flooding in but if I bought again now on LSE, I would then have to sell and re-buy the AIM ones? or do they get transferred? | wolterix

22/6/2010 07:19 | two bits from the RNS "The Board is pleased to report that, in the current financial year to date (since 1 January 2010), sales growth in both its Bioplastic and RF Technologies divisions lies ahead of the market's expectations........ The Board also reports that Biome's composting trials with a major American supplier to the food processing market, as highlighted in the Company's recent Interim Management Statement dated 29 April, have been completed successfully and that this opportunity is now moving into a commercial scale-up phase". Good news on both fronts, and they undoubtedly used both to get the placing away, but only to the institutions. The PI's didn't get to see this info until after the event. SEO could have maybe used it to lessen the dilution/raise the offer price etc. Suddenly Minesy's "I won't announce anything until the lorries have left the factory...." appears to have been watered down somewhat. Stinks again | larry laffer
22/6/2010 07:09 | This update will make sellers think twice relevant bit from April statement Having tested Biome resins on full-scale equipment a major American supplier to the food processing market is keen to take the products to market. Having already purchased initial quantities, anticipated success in composting trials could result in this supplier becoming a substantial customer in the second half of this year. | conc2

22/6/2010 06:52 | I am not a holder, but have many friends who are or have been. It is interesting to analyse RNS speak. The house broker will have pencilled in their forecasts, the board appear to be saying that sales are running ahead of those numbers....if they were doing really well and the board was bullish, it may have read 'significantly' ahead of market expectations. Commercialisation means that the trials have been deemed a success and they are now increasing capacity possibly in capital expenditure and people as they start to sell the product imo Good Luck here. | jimmyloser
22/6/2010 06:49 | PW, out of interest, do you hold ANY stocks at all? I have come across you on several of my holdings over the years,as harbinger of doom. Do you have time to follow any companies you actually have confidence in? btw, for once, I agree with your comment above about seo Nic | nicd
22/6/2010 06:46 | "The Board is pleased to report that, in the current financial year to date (since 1 January 2010), sales growth in both its Bioplastic and RF Technologies divisions lies ahead of the market's expectations." Interesting they should use the term "ahead of the market's expectations" as opposed to the normal term "ahead of the directors' expectations." Of course if the markets were expecting the company to bust then just being alive is ahead of market expectations. | pwhite73
22/6/2010 06:35 | Think you and I have it nailed Pearly - a pathetic update. | johncsimpson
22/6/2010 06:32 | Todays trading update is a particularly weak attempt at deflecting some of the criticism the board are rightfully expecting today. Just more ambiguous words that say very, very little. Ahead of what market expectations? What does 'commercialism scale-up phase' mean? | 2pearly
22/6/2010 06:30 | RNS - part of . . . . sales growth in both its Bioplastic and RF Technologies divisions lies ahead of the market's expectations. Anyone know what market expectations are/were? Edit I often have a quick look at this BB first thing in the morning but what has happened to all the posters? | johncsimpson
22/6/2010 00:49 | It's worth having a look at Singer Capital as nominated adviser and broker for SEO. These are the guys who will be on PM's shoulders during and after the transition onto AIM. Have a look at their disclosures: I couldn't find SCM listed under advisors on SEO's website - why does this not surprise me! SEO's information management is quite laughable, their website really needs professional attention for consistency, accuracy and timely releases for all stakeholders. | runnett
22/6/2010 00:19 | Sir mark, Interesting post, growth company website? I understand Robert Tyerman (news editor)carries weight in mining and insurance, with reputable credits. Although this work of his is just pulling information about Mines' history and his (Mines') thoughts on a cureent market, which we already knew. I would of liked to see Tyerman's comments rather him editing a junior hacks piece from the net. Perhaps his assistant days at the Sunday Telegraph are long gone. I like the part 'can make products degrade in a week or last for years'. Isn't this a dilute and concerate measure of ingredients. Reminds me of dilute orange, "look how much you get", or, concentrate orange which give you "zingy taste for five times longer". Merely a marketing feature. I think PM and his board have done the talk, time to deliver. Cheers Runnett | runnett
21/6/2010 17:31 | He now feels that a company at Stanelco/Biome's stage of development will fare better and pay lower fees outside the constraints of the full London Stock Exchange listing and wants to take it to AIM, with Singer Capital as nominated adviser. Translated:- we are runnig out of cash and need money for our salaries. Our market cap is now so small we are being booted onto AIM. | lwaxf13
21/6/2010 17:16 | Ths is it guys and girls the final chapter in SEO. On past form the cash will burn, no deals will be signed, no major sales will happen, discussions with major brand holders will continue yada yada yada then it's all over. | lwaxf13
21/6/2010 16:25 | Mmmmmmmmmmmm! 2Pearly - 16 Jun'10 - 14:51 - 21846 of 21866 edit It could also be crass incompetence [something SEO do in spades]and he may still hold the other 2 million but whoever put the RNS together didn't realise. 21/6/2010 14:35 | People: Mining a rich seam 08/06/2010 Robert Tyerman Reduce text size Decrease text size Increase text size Increase text size Print article Print Share this article Share Email article to a friend Email Paul Mines, boss of Stanelco, brings some useful big-company dealmaking experience to the task of turning this loss-making former radio frequency technology concern into what he and investors hope will become a profitable niche player in bioplastics. He recently launched a £3.5 million open offer to existing and new investors to help Stanelco, which is renaming itself Biome Technology, to reflect its new core business, reach profitability in 2012. An experienced packaging industry hand, for eight years Mines ran Betts Group Holdings, a leader in printed laminated tubes for the oral and personal care markets, having led its buy-out from the mighty Courtaulds group. He now feels that a company at Stanelco/Biome's stage of development will fare better and pay lower fees outside the constraints of the full London Stock Exchange listing and wants to take it to AIM, with Singer Capital as nominated adviser. Stanelco/Biome is now focused on starch-based granules, used by large commercial and industrial concerns to make biodegradable and renewable materials for premium-priced flexible films, solid articles and coatings. Mines, who claims that Stanelco's versatile granules 'can make products degrade in a week or last for years', says sales are strongest in northern Europe, where environmental legislation drives the market, and is hopeful about progress in the USA. He and his fellow directors are contributing 5 per cent to the funding, whose discounted 0.125p price was needed 'to make sure we got more than our minimum £2.7 million target'. They have also taken a 30 per cent cut in remuneration to help the company out of the red. | sirmark

21/6/2010 07:28 | That'll deflate PM's balloon. He was probably going to compare SEO to PLNT at the AGM. He generally likes to always compare SEO with whoever has struggled through the year and claimSEO is doing better. It used to be SYM until SYM 10 bagged while we collapsed. Then it was PLNT, looks like he'll have to find a new comparison target.Somethings wrong if these competitors can achieve and SEO can't.That won't change just because they spend our money changing the name. | 2pearly
21/6/2010 07:14 | PLNT RNS makes good and progressive reading this am.......if you are a PLNT holder!! Patents and new business in the US.Tie up with M&S in Europe mentioned. Where are our contracts? We are in the same game. Aren't WE!???? | boldtrader
18/6/2010 10:13 | They will flog the company and I would presume they are hoping in the lst quarter of this year; a polite length of time to say it is the best strategy and excellent offer etc, and will double their money (though I hope they hold out for much more) | fur |
