MTH perhaps a more secure bet. Today's NAV statement surpassed my very best expectations; and in doing so fulfilled a long held conviction that the NAV here would surpass 200p (thnx to Rambutan on the ADVFN "PE" thread).

The increased offer price of 175.5p (as I type) should still look pretty good value in December, when, as I expect, they announce their next Tender.

As at close of business on 30 September 2016, the unaudited Net Asset Value per Ordinary 2p share of the Company was 206.3 pence.

TRC has been in wind up mode for some years. A sale agreement has been reached for disposal of two of its remaining holdings and for the cessation of legal actions. It has one remaining holding to sell, with a sale agreed, but has been pending buyer financing for quite some time.
The first sale is expected to complete within 8 weeks and could lead to a distribution by early 2017 of about 4p, leaving a free ride on the final holding.

3.85p to buy, perhaps 5p to 6p final return, but a number of hurdles to overcome.
