"SpectoAcc11 Jan '11 - 10:30 - 7 of 600

82p for 1k at 76/79? It's ultimately heading over a quid IMO with "real" NAV nearer 116p and many investee co's due to float this year, ,,,,,"

That's why you will never get an OBE for investing. Or NAV calculation.

Another triumph of prediction from the troll spectoacc.

Me? I predict 0p to 20p.... HA HA penury beckons for ADVFN's most unsuccessful investor.

@Russman - I'd guess a lot easier for him to make derisory offers to the liquidator for the parts he wants.

Just noticed this thread started in 2010 - what a dog it's been, will be glad to see the back of what I've got left!

Even Shore has not made a derisory offer for the whole thing.

And no mention of celadon, which supposedly had an agreement for a sale by the year end.

That assumes they've any money to do so.

Worth a reminder of the assets:

"During the reporting period the Company's portfolio comprised a potash mine development in Brazil, an oil exploration project in the Caspian Sea, a nickel development project in Oregon, USA, a company engaged in the development and manufacture of technology for screens which allows viewers to watch in 3D without glasses, a vaccine development company in the UK focused on a universal flu vaccine and a large farmland owner in Uruguay."

None seemingly realisable at NAV. And £305k cash, which we can safely assume will disappear on wind-up costs.

Surely there's a buyer for the Brazil potash stake..

You would think the companies concerned would be aware, and would want to buy back their shares on the cheap?

Odds on a connected party/director/certain person picking up something on the very cheap?

So few of these incubator types achieve anything other than wages & pension contributions. Hoping for 5p back on the heavily-written down NAV, but could as easily be 1p.

Win some lose some - BIG question - Guesses as to whether liquidation distribution to shareholders will be higher than 2p? If so over what time period and how much of the proceeds before administration be swallowed by the process.

Lesson learnt - Beware of emiritus run companies based in and run from offshore jurisdictions.
