undervaluedassets look back to the posts here from March 2020... i was the only investor here buying SSP at £1.60 at the bottom, everyone else said avoid... i only became bearish here as economy got much worse and SSP diluted and doubled on false optimism.

Results tomorrow. How are they going to spin this absolute bag of doggy doo into a really optimistic and positive announcement for the period ahead which is also going to be atrocious? I'm sure they will find a way!

Bill Gates is is a geek (no disrespect intended) who is a computer expert ... He is not an industry consultant on travel trends.

He may be happy doing business behind a computer screen but most people simply aren't. where big money is concerned people want to "eyeball" the people they do deals with. Business travel will come back.

For instance there is no substitute for the AGM ... an online version just does not cut it.

But the whole world wants to get away at the moment. The whole world wants to go somewhere else, wants to be somewhere else other than home.

Tell you what Try booking a flight, to anywhere for that matter..

My wife is from the Canaries .. there are no flights .. not unless you want to pay through the nose (am delighted.. I hold Ryanair)

They are all booked up.

There will be changes but air travel survives of course it does. With the cash-rich companies like Ryanair set to capitalize by picking off the weaker ones.

Everyone is sick of COVID restrictions. Everyone is desperate to get away.

The best performer in the 250 since the announcement of the 1st vaccine on 9/11/20.

There was always going to be a bit of profit-taking.

Does not make the recovery for this company any less likely.

Post vaccine/post covid passengers will still eat slightly overpriced food in airports around the world just as they have always done.

(Why does waiting for a plane make you so hungry? Baffling.)

I would be interested to hear from anyone still long on.SSPG? Why are you buying? The prices keeps bouncing up from where I think it should be ie £1-2, however I don't think I've seen a single person's opinion as to why it is worth well over ONE BILLION POUNDS when the entrance to the head office where to chief executive work and earns millions of pounds is locked down and covered in leaves and there is no real plan in place to bring things back to where they were before everything was covered in leaves. Everyone is crossing their fingers at SSP and I'm sorry to be the only realist around, but those crossing their fingers here are going to be skeletons by the time anyone wants to buy a crusty old baguette from them for £6.99...
