Most REITs certainly benefited yesterday from the merest hint of inflation and therefore interest rates abating.

That's interesting, which REITs are you thinking off, any of the below?
This could be a good time to get back into REITs.

Bounty - plenty of the Solar REITS standing at discount to NAV, so I agree. But I suspect the management teams are quite expensive to acquire, so I would buy a REIT and do a deal with the manager over a large pot of money.

I would like to see investment in solar to complement the wind generation.

H2 sees a lot of wind capacity coming on stream. It really is beginning to look like a renewables company.

-5.8% this past week, vs the FTSE-100 -3.6%

As a supposedly safe+dull low-drama sector and share, is anyone aware of specific reasons the share got hit like this?

Back in today.
While risky the upcoming divi helps hedge that somewhat I think.

Good luck all 👍🏻

Peterangler it seems that they are promising cheaper energy to everyone, but investing in green technology, funded by grabbing some of our pension funds ; can't see anything wrong with that , I am sure they have done their sums and there is nothing for anyone to worry about....

I'd be very interested in contributors thoughts on Labour's proposals for energy generation reforms particularly the impact of GB ENERGY.

I’m still amazed at the amount of people who trade on a daily basis. It’s like banging your head against the wall, relief only when you stop !

Rebasing the dividend to 60p in 23/24 was in the January RNS so already factored in. The derivatives loss is not what we would want to hear but should be a one off I would hope.

The final dividend very good news, but rebasing to a 3% yield from next year is not why I am here. A very long fuse to ex-div might provide an opportunity to offload if there is spirited news in the meantime, I have been hoping for £21+.

Should we be worried that the statutory reported result was a loss because of derivatives?

Exceptional performance from Thermal masking weak wind energy revenues. Another year of still conditions.

No idea why they might have suspended further disposals, when they need capital for investment. I guess regulated debt in this set of circumstances is a good thing?

Coire Glas still stood off.

Intention to recommend a final dividend of 67.7p for payment on 21 September 2023, representing a weighted average annual RPI rate of 12.9%, making a full year dividend of 96.7p per share.

-- Full year dividend rebased to 60p for 2023/24, with increases of 5 - 10% p.a. to 2026/27.

anhar: 'It's quite liberating to be free from price watching and prediction and trading.'

I've been a dividend investor since the late 90s. But as a good part of the income is reinvested I'm periodically reviewing the fundamentals of my holdings to ID the strongest positions to top-up.
