23/12/2019 18:00 | Looks like my New Year £15 target may be reached ; the World is going to have to go more electric in the next decades and SSE is one of the big players. Governments cannot afford to block this process and financial incentives seem inevitable. One to hold at least 5 yrs unless Boris manages to lose that big majority sooner by falling out with his own party. | wad collector
19/12/2019 16:16 | That should have been titled 2019. In retrospect.... | wad collector
16/12/2019 12:55 | Yes, the rebase at 80p is fully documented. | vinceelliott
16/12/2019 11:27 | The yield I quoted above-80p- is correct. They rebalanced the yield from tje Marxh 20 payment. | bobby12340
16/12/2019 09:42 | Picked off hl. Your yield would be more reasonable. | alphorn
14/12/2019 10:10 | Yield is not 7% Dividend is 80p with RPI link for the next 3 years Yield now below 6% Fully valued at £14.30?? | bobby12340
14/12/2019 08:44 | I have friends who work there who have decent amount of shares. I sort of said if you hold 3000 shares why not take advantage of the spike and sell 1000 and if they drop back because they have a long history of doing this they can buy them back and make say £1000 if they drop to £13. I was surprised the price totally held their gains yesterday. So you lot think it's heading to £15 rather than £13 ? | dave4545
14/12/2019 08:33 | Current yield almost 7% so, if dividend is maintained, it has more upside to normalise the yield. | alphorn
14/12/2019 08:28 | It's not just the price by New Year, it's that fact that the whole threat of Nationalisation has gone. Even if Labour don't elect a moderate leader akin to Blair who takes them towards the Centre, and they go for someone else on the far left, they have no hope of being re-elected at the next election. So SSE has many good years ahead of it. £17 in years time maybe? | gateside
12/12/2019 23:48 | No takers then. I want to see a big rise tomorrow but suspect the rise will be disappointing. | wad collector

28/11/2019 18:01 | One director just sold £240k worth of shares. Can't really make much of that ; wise men might hedge pre-election. Can't find his remaining holding. | wad collector
25/11/2019 17:15 | Somehow doubt that will really work, some new legislation could reverse it. But good to stick 2 fingers up! | wad collector
24/11/2019 20:32 | The announcement from SSE and National Grid regarding their reorganisations should be noted by the No Deal nutters. As posted before Brexit does not mean that the UK leaves the planet and the international treaties. National Grid and SSE have shifted large parts of their UK operations into offshore holding companies...…& note: also Times link above. | alphorn
18/11/2019 22:40 | Thanks for that link . My view of the re-nationalisation threat would appear to be too simple. Mind you, the mechanisms of the takeover might not turn out to be those that the Labour Party is suggesting . They might be lieing.... | wad collector |
