20/3/2018 09:54 | Let's face it the writing was on the wall after the last update 6 months ago. They would have needed to break all records and deliver more in 6 months (£12m+) than they have ever managed to do in a whole year. | hjb1
20/3/2018 09:35 | looks like the share price is doing the announcing for us? If they could hit the target that would be amazing, but i agree, it does look doubtful at this point. | astralvision
20/3/2018 08:52 | As I have said, he will leave it to the last day claiming a big one could've dropped before year end, believe that if you want?? He can't hide for much longer now, he has to come clean and report the massive miss very soon. | hjb1
20/3/2018 08:19 | OH well. Sp slipped back so much.....ST has bluffed us again perhaps? Said under Aim rules he had to declare if wasnt going to hit target. No RNS so i assume we will hit target. Realistically it aint going to happen. | srtshare2

15/3/2018 10:47 | This NEDA board is supposed to meet every six weeks or so, but doesn't seem to have done so yet this calendar year. More importantly, the membership has been pruned drastically and the previous process whereby once approved by the board a project had to undergo three different agency assessments, after which it had to be resubmitted for reapproval, has been changed. Now, once approved, that is it and all the necessary documentation is supposed to be dealt with there and then. It seems that all large infrastructure projects and foreign funded projects go through this process and donor countries want to speed things up. I have no idea whether the BFAR would feel the need to re-tender for the whole expanded PHILO project or whether they could go ahead with the original scope and tender only for the increase. Clearly, a full tender would slow things down. As to the size, I seem to recall that $20 million to SRT was bandied about. Any increase would be unlikely to be material. If a further 5,000 boats were to be covered, that might increase it by $5,000,000. I understand that SRT is expecting a satellite revenue stream as well, so a maximum of $500,000 increase in that? Both nice, but I doubt there would be much of a difference in reaction if it is $25 rather than $20 million. More importantly in the medium term would be to have a system installed in the fifteen big ports and 117 little ones and a reasonable number of boats covered. The Coast Guard is a completely different outfit and is set to expand enormously. They also have MDM in their sights. If the BFAR has a functioning system with all those base stations, RADAR's etc, it could well serve as starting point for a Coast Guard system. | lavalmy
14/3/2018 16:29 | why would Tucker change the habit of a lifetime?? also if you think a warning is priced in then you've lost your marbles. When the RNS drops the share price is well under 20p imv. You see Tucker will wait until the very last moment before he announces a warning cos he will say a biggy could have dropped at the very last minute, just like he has done before, he has form!! Is anyone really expecting a second half of £12m quid? get real, lol! | hjb1
14/3/2018 16:21 | Tucker's face is surely long since caked with egg, to the extent that his features are barely discernible. Another layer is not going to make any difference. We might even view it as an annual tradition. | effortless cool
14/3/2018 12:53 | Something like that ! Should I buy more SRT shares now - they look very cheap - or wait for profit warning - only a weeks until end of financial year - in which case the shares will be cheaper? | yumyum
14/3/2018 09:43 | Are you having an existential crisis? | effortless cool

13/3/2018 20:49 | from my notes ... -------------------- RNS Number : 9611T 24 July 2015 US$700,000 Philippines Fisheries Order -------------------- SRT, the AIM-quoted provider of maritime domain awareness technologies, i -------------------- The Philippines has a substantial fishing fleet operating over a large area. The authorities plan to monitor its maritime exclusive economic zone (EEZ) using AIS to track vessels of all sizes and types. The initial focus is larger fishing boats which will be equipped with a combination of Class A and Class B transceivers, before addressing the substantial number of smaller fishing boats with Class B and Identifier type transceivers. A combination of terrestrial and satellite AIS networks will be used to track fitted vessels. -------------------- Simon Tucker, CEO of SRT, said: "Whilst a relatively small order compared to the potential size of the Philippine maritime market opportunity, I am delighted that another significant market has entered its implementation phase. Again, our global market position and reputation for product quality and technology performance, coupled with our local partner's capabilities, has made SRT products the natural choice for the end customer. We look forward to working with our partner in the years to come to supply this market with the AIS tracking products and systems they require." -------------------- | piedro
13/3/2018 18:17 | Some colour on the initial Philo Phase Two approved in 2015 as per CNN: 'Phase two of the Integrated Marine Environment Monitoring System was also given the go signal in an effort to comply with European Union (EU) requests. This project involves the improvement and expansion of the PHILO Phase I, particularly the Vessel Monitoring System and the integration of various database including fishing vessel registry, ocean and weather data, stock assessment data, illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUUF) records, among others. Phase 2 is dedicated to the setting up of an integrated operational fisheries and marine environment monitoring center in the Philippines that is interregional and interconnected with the main center. The 1.675 billion-peso project will be funded through a loan extended by the French government to allow the Philippines to comply with EU fisheries regulations. According to Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., it is estimated that the Philippines exports some $300 million worth of fishery products to Europe every year. "This was required of us by the EU because many EU countries import significant amounts of fishery products from the Philippines. So now, we are compliant with the requirements."' I seem to recall that SRT received a surprise order mid 2015 for $700,000 in respect of a Philippines fishery project, presumably Phase One. The above commentary goes some way to explaining quite how the French could insist that the project can only be won by a French company. I had assumed that the EU State Aid rules would apply. Maybe not in this instance, as the French could say if we can't have the ball we are not paying for it. | lavalmy

13/3/2018 11:09 | LaValmyMany thanks for the reply, very informative and good news for SRT. | astralvision
13/3/2018 11:05 | Don't know, but it must be more than previously expected, which was €28.5 million over four years according to the tender document posted by ? Goodapple a while back. 'The ICC-CC approved BFAR’s request to change the scope of the project in order to purchase additional VMS transceivers to cover more commercial fishing vessels and to utilize both satellite and terrestrial technologies, among others...' It now goes to the full NEDA board, which includes the mad President, for the final rubber stamp. | lavalmy
13/3/2018 10:55 | interesting LaValmy, wonder how much that is worth and over what period, but good news. | astralvision |
