I notice on the latest presentation that the US does not even feature as a future revenue channel. Blimey $50m down to zero...how much more of the " VSP" is just going to vanish and is NOT going to happen??
Jam Tomorrow anyone!!

I have a preference for contracts being signed ! and mandates (i.e. USA, Russia, EU inland waterways) actually living up to the hype (revenue) rather than very disappointing numbers that have been reported over the last few years.

When we get the above (and with some completed with revenue/profit as expected), then we can start talking about dividends and share buy backs.

I guess those holding stock in isa or SIPP don't have Lav's tax problem, income or CGT. If SRT ever becomes cash rich and does not have a good home for it, I for one have a preference for dividends. If the company ever has surplus cash, ST might consult major shareholder Lav for an opinion but the chairman and others, might out trump him.

It will get there if they buy back shares rather than forcing us pay tax on dividends we don't want! :)

Which would be excellent news, particularly to all the LTH's here who have seen SRT grow and evolve. In the meantime and until we an update on Indonesia and news of hopefully another contract win, we have £400k profit and a current PE of 145.

mine's still in the cupboard as well, kalkanite. As we know from past experience, an order could come out of the blue and then it will be a jamboree!

My SRT jam has made its way to the back of the cupboard and is collecting dust! I refuse to open it until a decent project (£30m+) is announced.

The toaster is on standby :-)

Was covered at the AGM, either in meetings or in talks afterwards, forget which.
It boils down to the US has been a damp squib, which is due to a combination of the economic down-turn meaning boats are laid up, lack enforcement etc etc, ie all the usual reasons we have seen before why these mandates often don't turn out as advertised.
SRT are adamant that the business is not going elsewhere and that they will get the lions share, just that the period for that will be extended, which in some ways is no bad thing.
Projects are much more dependable in terms of numbers and the roll-out times, but, as we've also seen here, projects can also suffer their own set of problems. This is not an 'easy' business, but SRT are trying to make it as smooth as possible for their customers.

I'm sure there's a lot of motor powered fishing boats that don't use electricity

- gas cylinder for cooking
- hurricane lamps

LV,

assuming you mean moving catch from one vessel to another...

fft,
Thank you for the lesson - I should have thought that myself.

Perhaps you could explain ...
"However, without power they probably wouldn't be able to do much apart from bob around the ocean !"

I got email notification from SRT directly this morning. I think I signed up to their website notification service.

Clearly not an RNS event as this is essentially a product improvement/option and has not material to the business.

What do they do with the fish, if they are out for a couple of weeks and have no on-board power?

Seems a kind of obvious solution in some ways, the identifier was always going to be limited by five days worth of battery power, some of these 'small' fishing craft can be out for a couple of weeks at a time, not much point in tooling up a craft if it cant be monitored after five days. This solution wont be required on all craft as obviously it adds to the cost, but it covers a gap in the product capability. IMO

What has been released isn't an rns non. It is just a website that has then been picked up and repackaged by advfn. There is nothing on the SRT website in either news or products that I could see about this product. Maybe it is a gimmick, but... it does seem interesting coming so close behind the split with ee and the apparent need to have something more for the small vessel market.
