What sort of shelf life does the jam have? Might give some guidance as to when other contracts are expected... :-)

FWIW, I think we are seeing the result of people beginning to realise that valuing SRT based on the rear view mirror is plainly misleading. Whilst the Indonesia contract underpins the next couple of years, it alone does not guarantee large revenues beyond that so clearly, it is the VSP which is attracting attention and changing minds given that Bahrain and Indonesia have already committed.

Sceptics and scoffers who wrote off SRT as a jam tomorrow stock will have to eat their words while we eat our jam.

It wasn't just any old pot of jam.....
Did anyone notice the pot of jam had the SRT logo on it?

Have to agree with crazyc and kalk. I'm comfortable with where SRT are in their evolution as a business, but we all have different investing objectives and timeframes. I feel lucky to be in, and fortunate to be able to have an open ended timeframe, through at least 2020. It is also my largest holding in albeit a relatively small, high risk portfolio. Also, given the lessons learnt by SRT regarding overstating future prospects, the optimism around the pot of jam has me quite excited....GLA & DYOR as ever.

My personal view is that 60p is price neutral currently. Rather than price getting toppy I think that we are near fair value as historic pessimism around forecasts has held these back post contract news.

I normally cringe when there is so many PIs hollaring and hooting about a share price, but, every once in a blue moon a company with so much genuine potential comes along, with downside protection ($100m contract) such as SRT today, that it is understandably optimistic. This is backed up by many experienced and knowledgeable investors frequenting this board.
With the contract pipeline here I would be very uncomfortable being outside when the next RNS comes.

We all have different trading/investment objectives, tolerance for risk etc. It's what makes a market in shares like SRT.

Personally, I saw the Indonesian contract as a game changer; partly due to the contract size but also confirmation that SRT's new go-to-market strategy as a systems integrator was likely to be a winner. As such, I have built a strategic stake on the basis that the shares would be worth a lot more in 2017/18/19 (my intended holding period) than they were in March 2016. I see 40p or 50p right now as largely irrelevant based on what is to come. This said, it is good to see the shares are so tightly held because it could mean the ascent is more rapid than I had previously anticipated.

presumably, at some point soon, the share price will dip a bit, and at that point many (or at least enough) will seek to lock in a quick profit, and the dip will become a big slide, and we'll retrace to, what, 40-45p, something like that, before beginning to climb again.

But, it is quite fun at the moment!

I must admit, I share your surprise in that I thought it would take further contract news to break through the resistance area of around 43p...wrong!

You are right, SRT has never been a 'leaky ship', so I have to agree as well that the shares are tightly held and the potential here together with the massive Indonesian order is filtering through to the market.

I think Countryman has suggested here in the relatively recent past that modest demand could send the shares soaring due to a lot of the shares being tightly held.

yes, people now realise that this is now on the tipping point. Why sell now when there is plenty more profit to come in the near term it seems.

Given that there will not be a trading update until the interims in October, I am surprised at the continuing share price strength here. Of course, a deal from the pipeline could come at any point but SRT has never struck me as being a particularly leaky company. So my conclusion is that most shares here are tightly held which bodes well for when the earning potential starts to come through over the next couple of years.Disclosure - SRT is now my largest holding

Yes YUMYUM, that is true. We also know from the AGM presentation

that there are some pretty big deals in the offing. Exact timing is difficult, but the omens look good and ST's jam can't be too far away from being opened!

TP, it depends on the contract/s and their size, timing implementation.

As you know.

more contract news and we could see re-rate to the 75p sort of area?.....and perhaps more.

After such a strong move I would expect a retrace and consolidation, but that needs some selling and profit taking, but I still can't see much yet. Sometimes stocks can re-rate much more rapidly than we are used to seeing.
