22/12/2023 02:26 | I think that it is important for anybody interested in SRT that they should read the Bloomberg article on Anthony Clake. This will explain why he will be one of the bidders. The link is provided by Effortless on posting 13790 | countryman5
21/12/2023 23:24 | I would not have been surprised if today’s RNS identified Airbus as the strategic investor. For some time I have thought that this defence contractor has been frustrated that little SRT has been winning contracts that should have gone its way. Obviously the SRT technology is superior and the way forward would be to buy it out. After today, Airbus must be wondering whether Ocean Infinity is going to grab SRT.i strongly believe that early 2024 will see someone make a move. Both of these companies will know EVERYTHING about SRT. | countryman5
21/12/2023 20:32 | I trust that our repurposed SRT GeoVS Brain is safe from any predators. | lazyj
21/12/2023 20:22 | The UK's been doing very well all things considered - I'm firmly in the hell in a handcart club - and so has SRT, which I think deserves to be recognised. But it's sad to compare them for growth with Ocean Infinity, and my other benchmark Palantir - seems that what you need for super growth are access to cash and the White House / DOD - surprise, surprise. 'Twas ever thus I suppose :¬( | supernumerary
21/12/2023 20:04 | Why am I reminded of those little birds that venture into the mouths of crocodiles to pick morsels stuck between their teeth? One snap of the jaws, and ... But had to be done, was well signalled, and at a not too ridiculous price, so I suppose it's a 'thankful for small mercies' job. Nexus first shipments autumn 2024. Sigh... | supernumerary
21/12/2023 19:58 | Re post 13823 Congratulations to C5 imo, for bothering to engage brain before posting and being clairevoyant | yump
21/12/2023 19:25 | It would appear that there are more than 1 "Ocean Infinity Group" companies. 1. OE026858 Overseas entity registered at Company's House in February 2023 and details of the company registered in the Cayman Islands. Anthony Clake ".. holds, directly or indirectly, more than 25% of shares in the entity" 2. FCO355804 An overseas company registered in Cayman Islands which opened its first UK office on 1 May 2017 Clake is not listed as a director but Plunkett is. Last accounts on file to 31 December 2018 but links to accounts of Ocean Infinity Ltd (not "GROUP")to March 2022(!) - very strange. Accumulated losses of <£309k> Signed off by director: Pablo Daniel Denivi - Who doesn't appear as a director or past director on the CH file (?) 3. OCEAN INFINITY GROUP (UK) LTD – Incorporated on 26 June 1995 with previous names as MMT (UK) Ltd [2014-2022] and Netsurvey Ltd [1995 to 2014]. There have been a lot of now-resigned Swedish directors. A single current director is H Dahlberg. However, Oliver Plunkett filed as PSC and owns 75% or more from March 2021 but is not registered as a director. Accounts to December 2022 on file state that "Ocean Infinity Group Ltd is 100% owned by Ocean Infinity Group Holding AB (Swedish) who in turn is 100% owned by Ocean Infinity Group Ltd". That seems to contradict the “active person with significant control” PSC register entry. 2022 T/O £14.9m and post tax net £489k Retained earnings £2.1m. 65 employees. It seems to me that the notices today don't clearly identify the new shareholder, who controls it and from where - and the source of the funds being invested. I'm happy to be corrected. | cliffpeat
21/12/2023 16:49 | Yes Currently crypto is more interesting | yump
21/12/2023 16:10 | I bought in the last placing AT 50p.Then I read the statutory accounts and sold at a small profit.Just wondering if any current investors have actually read the latest statuory accounts? | elbrus55
21/12/2023 15:44 | C5 posted this a few weeks ago: 'Where to from here.? I am sure that the CEO has a pretty good road map but some of this growth will be restrained by cash. The company currently focuses on surface water activities but the countries buying the SRT system will increasingly want to monitor activities just above sea level (drones?) and beneath sea level (submarines?). Can SRT address these markets? If the company believes that it must make some quantum leaps in moving forward, would shareholders support a strategic partner taking a possible 20% stake in the company? If this were to be considered, there would need to be synergy with the product offering of the proposed company. Many of the coastguard contracts offer the potential for patrol boat / armament suppliers. How about a company which could monitor activities above or below sea level? If a cash rich company is interested in taking a strategic stake, shareholders, especially the few major ones, would need to buy into the offering? Would major shareholders accept 120p a share to a allow for the necessary dilution?' Uncanny. | lavalmy
21/12/2023 15:35 | I wouldn't read too much into this Ocean Infinity stake. Probably a bit of a punt in an area of interest to them. But these hedge fund types are pretty ruthless and certainly wouldn't have put up with the incessant disappointment we long-term SRT shareholders have. | lavalmy
21/12/2023 15:29 | The main buyer, Ocean, definitely wants in. They won't be creating an overhang by selling over the next few months for a penny turn. The more stable finances could also oil the contract progress wheels as others have suggested above. | boadicea
21/12/2023 15:18 | Yumyum - I think you could be missing the point. It's as important to have big backers as to have big contracts. | boadicea
21/12/2023 14:21 | I could only afford £1500 worth. Very easy, a couple of clicks, with HL. | zingaro
21/12/2023 13:35 | yum yum who did you go through? | 9degrees
21/12/2023 13:32 | I have applied for 200,000 shares in the retail offer. Let's see if I am allocated any. | yumyum
21/12/2023 13:29 | About as long as the cash from the last fundraise. | lavalmy
21/12/2023 13:14 | I see on Linkedin that Tim Bamber is self employed now, so he didn't last long for some reason | bathbuoy
21/12/2023 12:52 | Of course it could also be argued that this is Ocean's first bite of the cherry. | owenski
21/12/2023 12:35 | The market reaction seems very positive with buyers paying up to 38.4p for stock, about 10% premium over placing price. I note that the retail offer may close if fully subscribed, which seems very likely. If there was mention of scaling back I missed it, so assume first come basis. Possibly a risky opportunity for tail-biting as one's offer may not get filled. | boadicea
21/12/2023 12:05 | I agree 74-most of the placings have been backed by wealthy PIs-this one feels much more tangible I would bring in a new CEO and put ST squarely in charge of Sales | pinkfoot2 |
