I think it's likely that GVC will fall back temporarily one dilution occurs - that will be the time to buy this year, IMO.

Exbroker is correct - you would need a good return to beat holding and waiting.

Any price difference between GVC and bid price is profit.

if you sell tell us what you buy - it will be interesting to see if you can "beat" holding

Better use for the cash, some into PTEC, LAM, HSD etc.

Why sell now unless you have a better use for the cash? You have a free put and call option until 12 March.

I only exited because the gap between 233p and the current 266p was not sufficient for me to tie my money up.
I expect that 28 million additional GVC shares in issue 'could' force the GVC shareprice down.
If that happens, then I will simply use my cash to buy more of them at that stage.
Basically, I am looking to accumulate as many GVC shares as I can.

I'm out now. Looks too complicated for a white knight and I don't see any GVC effect materialising so I've decided to take my profit and move on.

I WAS WRONG , VERY WRONG ON MY LAST remarks re; gvc price, but the recent trades suggest stake building, or maybe just want as many gvc shares as festario, but steke building could be a problem in the making.

It will be quick, and it will be a fait accompli.
Deal done, as all three boards are incentivised to deliver it, and almost all the insitutions have requested full allocation of GVC shares.

The next part of this nightmare could well be that the 75% acceptance level is not reached on voting day. might be june then when another vote is taken on a renewed offer of 65p, then the white knight comes along, spot on grizz, messy.

And time consuming, but dem lawyer boys and girls are well chuffed.

Well GVC at 300p should value the bid at 58p. But no volume on GVC at all.

GVC bouncing back nicely for the next leg up.

Any large buying will see a large jump in the price.

Try some dummy buys of GVC around the 10 - 50,000 mark and see what the price would be

Well is there ANY chance of another bidder appearing I wonder. I really dont think so but if the value of the share is underwritten at 55p should I hang on for another week... just in case! Hmmm.

Not quite double bagger but close enough.
Thanks sbt.

I exited SBT today, instead of waiting for my allocation of GVC shares.
Too long to wait, now that the differential between 233p and 253 is so narrow.
Also, I am uncertain of the number of shares I will receive.

Instead I shall simply retain my long term GVC holding. Bye all!

Hi finkie. I feel a bit like you today and I wish I could blame it on alcohol but I can't!

I really feel I have had enough of Sbt now and am trying to decide whether to sell now and move on. I don't want to hold GVC shares but if I did I'd simply buy them.

I thought I'd hang on to see the start of the GVC re-listing to see if we could squeeze another couple of pence out of the Sbt share price but it seems we can't!

I bought most of my Sbt holding at 42p so I suppose I should be happy with 55p.

Haven't read all the blurb. Is one still able to take all cash at 55p!

GVC down 17p to 253p at the moment.

Morning bit of a technical update.... The last date for entering mix and match elections is 12 March if your stock is in crest. Most brokers will ask several days before, if you have a decent holding and a regular contact at the broker you could get it as close as the day before. They only have to press a few buttons when they are in the system so dont take any BS about it taking ages to do, 30 seconds should be enough!
