Grizzly Bare - aha... well i can hold it according to my plan (even if it means forever) ... i have no emotions on my trading and that includes boredom.

but i do trade other shares so its not that hard to forget about this one.

Well the market is flying today with shares showing strong rises!

Unfortunately it has no effect on Sbt as we are stuck at a ceiling of 53.5p / 53.75p

No sniff of any rummour about a White Knight.

A take out price of 55p is very cheap, and I'm sure that if it were not for the complication of the unregulated market stuff we would certainly see another bid.

This share is worth a take out price of up to 90p according to one analyst but it's not that simple.

It will be interesting if the market goes higher and Sbt trading performance is strong, to see how the voting will go.

I've been investing on the stock market since 1985, Aleks, so you'll forgive me for saying that I've heard it all before...many times. :-)

well in both cases that would be me cause as i said we dont know it could happen or it could not happen... then only way for me to benefit is if i hold it for another month and a half...

if the the fat lady doesnt sing here it will in the future cause i will hold that one too. am already in a small 10% profit here so its a win win for me either way. I ve made circa 80% net profit from this idea in 2012 and I think I will do well this year too :)

why and how ... we dont know ... thats why its called a surprise!

if you think every company is sold for what its worth... you dont know what you are talking about.

the biggest example was Autonomy... most thought the price was too high ... HP didnt cared about it.

things just happen... thats it .. cant be predicted.

Must admit I bailed at 53.25 (plus divi to come), just felt it was for the gamblers and the Arbs now. I don't think there will be a bidder certainly not from Asia - why the hell would they want to get involved with Europe everything is on the skids with no sign of a turn around. The crown is Aus and the mobile betting and that's been on the marget since before Laddies came in and all we got was one joint bid, hell no, not for me now.

Good luck all who still hold, twas an excellent share and thanks to those who provided some excellent and honest debate.

Thing is, SBT isn't attractive enough for someone to step in and pay a sizeable premium to the existing Bid price. The present Bid fairly values the business, who would want to overpay?

So, Cueball, you bought 50k of SBT on the 21st Dec, sold a few days later, and have now bought back again?!

Festario's comment about Superbahis are correct, GVC owns it now, regardless of what happens with the SBT deal.

Hopes of another SBT bidder are getting weaker by the day - they've had literally months to make a counter offer and not even a vague rumour of another Bidder has surfaced. No chance now, IMO, the deal is going through.

festario, my opinion of sites that deal in unregulated markets is known. good luck to all gvc/sbt holders, small investors like us deserve to succeed.

Nonsense Cueball, in so many ways.
Why would GVC be 'crippled'? They already OWN Superbahis, (SBT Turkey)
This deal merely brings the additional revenue of it forward by a few years.
Deal is done Cueball, and you would do well to keep hold of any GVC shares that you can pick up as a result of it.

yes, and the longer we wait the more certain i am that another bidder will surface. Bought 50k today. will do 50k wed and fri.
Another bidder would cripple gvc if they finished up with nothing, but anyone who puts their fate in the hands of either, WMH or LADS deserve all they get.

To hear some of the comments, this is a done deal, as though GVC are the only company working in unregulated markets, to my knowledge there is scores of them.

therefore another bidder would have no bother getting a partner, but that would not apply to a private equity bidder, stuff you they would say, we run the lot, and after a couple of years sell the lot, in bits and pieces if neccessary.

Soooooo, dont count dem chickens just yet, this thing has legs.

FIL has sold 13mil shares on friday at 53p
