10/3/2022 10:30 | The results were very strong and the dividend cover is at the top end of the range despite a 15% increase! If only all my holdings were like Spirax. | adrunkenmarcus
10/3/2022 09:12 | Bought in here today quality company results very good. Brought a few less than I normally do so room for manoeuvre | w1lbur01
10/1/2022 16:43 | Lots of my growthier stocks like Spirax Sarco, Renishaw, Rotork, Diploma and Kainos have been hard hit today. I suspect it's to do with money going to 'value'. (Not that I agree with that in the long run!) | adrunkenmarcus
10/1/2022 15:43 | Well, today's price action is something that it doesn't do too often! I assume there's been a big broker downgrade somewhere given I can't see news? | kirkie001
10/1/2022 12:59 | Sorry chaps - looks like my purchase was the kiss of death! Suet | suetballs
20/12/2021 16:31 | Was hoping to buy in a bit cheaper but had a few today. Suet | suetballs
18/11/2021 09:15 | Agreed. My view, reaction was due to potential cost/margin pressures but, reading between the lines on guidance, I think strength of business will overcome this. It is also highly rated, but don't think unreasonably so on a PEG basis, so did some accumulating on, hopefully, short term relative weakness. | sogoesit
17/11/2021 14:13 | I suspect a chunk of the fall was due to the 4% in adverse currency movements. I'm not going to hold currency against Spirax! They are running the business well, results since the first half results are better than expected and they are managing cost pressures. Temporary pressure on margins to support future investment which will lead to growth and margin gains is simply a sign of a well-run, long term focused company. | adrunkenmarcus
17/11/2021 13:19 | Bought on the fall today. Short-term headwinds but optimistic for 2022. Niche player with huge addressable market. The fall is just letting off steam after a strong run. I expect some of today's current 5.65% fall to mitigate when the mist of today's update rises. | mach100
15/11/2021 18:32 | It hit at least 17225p at one point today. I hadn't realised a trading update was tomorrow! Perhaps 'Mr. Market' is optimistic. | adrunkenmarcus
12/11/2021 11:07 | Trading update due 17 November. Maybe something leaky.... | sogoesit
11/11/2021 18:16 | A rather big £18m worth uncrossing trade. | wfcreserves
11/11/2021 18:12 | What prompted the late surge?! Up almost 4.5% to nearly 17000p! Happy 'buy and hold forever' investor in Spirax since March 2015 - it's more than quintupled since then. | adrunkenmarcus
11/11/2021 17:17 | Closing whoops price? | kirkie001
28/9/2021 00:49 | No follow-through confirmation to the upside, so seasonal “correction | sogoesit
23/9/2021 10:19 | Good stuff... In face of recent performance on the brief sell-off added some more today. Will add more on further strength if it happens but await confirmation. NB. Note the low beta on this stock, about 0.45. Similar to other high P/E stocks like KNOS, CRDA etc. DYOR GLA (NB: "Buy rising stocks, sell falling stocks". Jesse Livermore) | sogoesit
20/9/2021 05:05 | chart suggests it is looking toppy and a very high p/e ratio surprisingly . Due to pullback on profit taking starting today IMO . | arja
02/9/2021 16:30 | I feel vertiginous... Still, if McDonalds can be ahead of the curve compared to Beyond Meat maybe there's hope.... | sogoesit
11/8/2021 21:10 | Industrial production is expected to be 8% to 9% this year, but Spirax-Sarco expects all its divisions to outperform this global rate, with its Watson-Marlow fluid technologies business on track for 55% growth this year due to its support for Covid-19 vaccines. Despite the run for shares from 11,500p since the start of this year, Peel Hunt reckons the stock is worth holding on to after the broker adjusted its price target to 15,000p. In other news Peel Hunt stated that they expect England to win the World Cup at least once in years ending 66, and all children born this year who survive until the next 356 days to celebrate a birthday in the next year and that traces of meat can be found in a McDonald's hamburger. Last one seems to be stretching it a bit imho. | mach100
11/8/2021 20:16 | Really steamy results. My windows literally misted up when they came out this morning. Going to add more as the ink on my last purchase at £142 a pop has barely evaporated before this leap to £155. Keep buying. | mach100
11/8/2021 08:21 | Market has been awarding this an increasing P/E (trailing) for over a year now. A couple useful databases for those interested, or not already using: Forward P/E on doubling of today's results looks like 51x which is less than recent history. If there's a reasonable return on their current year's capital investment, coupled with "strong demand growth" (per RNS wording) then that indicates further growth. This is what the market probably is betting on but, as usual, I'm guessing, and just follow the market and see "what gift it gives". | sogoesit
11/8/2021 07:58 | I seriously can't value this company. I've been thinking it was overvalued from about £100. Luckily, I still hold c60% of my original holdings..... | kirkie001
11/8/2021 07:33 | Great results - the gift that keeps giving. | redartbmud
11/8/2021 07:30 | Nice RESULTS!! Big numbers. PE still extradordinarily high though eh? | lageraemia |
