Yup when I tried the other mm's I presume Winterfloods OL @ selftrade, they were offering very low qty's so we have to wait for SEYP to go dry.

Have to say the interims are quite informative:

Profit before tax by class of business:
Payphone services 946,631
Interactive services 267,429

The intersting bit is that the high growth side which is growing strongly is already profitable. So a business that is mature & declining, is being transformed nicely into high growth, but not only that I fear investors don't understand how the payphones are becoming more attractive, a bigger estate, means more attractive to national advertisers, also Microcells in built up areas & of course ATM's. ....not only that the acquisitions are on a two year payback....soon a high tech, high margin profitable business....for now on a p/e of 3 & 9% yield.

Good spot Tony.

Maybe.....if they were under 3% on 6th June, a month on & a 10p lower share price suggests they maybe nearly exhausted or exhausted?

In fact mentioning the director buy earlier, it was mid June, you would think the CEO had 5 months management accounts to hand before his purchase for the second half....if so...bodes well I think.

Not too sure tony but I think the directors might be in a closed period with the y/e at 30 June 2006

Still a bit of a overhang I agree, but I can say hand on heart I think this share will bounce strongly once cleared.

Looks like the seller is still lurking-a couple of large trades at the end of the day plus one of 150K this afternoon. Could one be a CEO buy?

Yes, always encouraged by Director putting his money down, and just short of £25,000 is a decent sum.

Also June news from the website:

Spectrum opened its new internet access retail area at Heathrow T1 Check-in.

The area contains 7 internet access points and offers coin, notes, credit card and voucher payment methods.

The retail outlet concept extends Spectrum product range within BAA, and is part of a series of new designs and installations across BAA.

Thanks for the info, Outsider.

Another thing to bear in mind is that the CEO bought 100K @24p less than a month ago.

Noted 400k shares traded at 18.25p yesterday - reported after hours. Assume that this may have been a sell which is possibly why the shares have being falling back of late.

I seem to remember quite a significant trade going back a few weeks ago of a dump of I think around 800k shares at about 17.5p when the shareprice was considerably higher - does anyone else recall this? surprised not to have seen any holding RNS's reported re: this.

This all suggests that there is probably still one massive overhang and that the MM's are awash with stock, which may mean further downward pressure if further buying does not materialise...

No problem with the Anglo S, but I always had you down as a constructive person.

On a brighter note. Despite our horrendous SP, I see that we've had a spate of BUying today.

LOL- sorry if the Anglo-Saxon offends- it's just I think most broker reports are pretty worthless, and are in fact often dangerous.

As for SIN, its market cap is now assuming absurd lows, even allowing for the bear points. If I wasn't fully invested elsewhere I'd be toping up right now. The clue is in the cashflow statement.

I have been watching SIN for a while, however, I do have a number of concerns:-

- the payphone side of the business is obviously the cash cow at present, but the question is for how long? It is worrying to see the significant rate of decline in the avg call revenue per unit (over 20% year on year) due to the increased penetration and competitveness of mobile phones as an alternative. If such a decline continues then the payphone business will no longer be viable in the short to medium term, therefore a lot would rest on the performance of interactive services.

- the German side of the business is struggling - on interim revenues of £1.6 million the company turned in a tiny PBT of only £6k. With further price cutting from the major German mobile operators this part of the business could easily become loss-making and may already be so.

- the new products of interactive services are very much at the introduction stage of their potential life-cycle and as yet only represent a small part of the business, growth is expected but not assured. The ATM business has also hit planning problems which is likely to delay the roll-out.

- the amount of debt within the company (net debt = £5.7 million at 31 Dec 2005) is not to be ignored. At the current 21.5p shareprice this gives an enterprise value for the company over £13 million - so even at the current price it may not be the bargain that many think it is, particularly if the decline in payphone revenues continues as expected.

- the company announced a profit warning at the interim stage stating that "the current market expectations will not be met". The prior year PBT was £1.7 million. Does anyone know what the current market expectaions are?

All of the above of course is imo, but I am intrigued to hear the opinions of others...

Sorry for above repost but can anyone answer my last point as I cant seem to find any broker sentiment re: SIN.

Thanks in advance
